Re: Constant litter tray visits
I think you need to consult a vet as soon as possible rather than wait and see if the situation improves. Please let us know how you get on.

Re: 9 week old kittens with loose stools
Are you giving the little ones any milk, as that often gives them loose motions? Otherwise you could try a bland diet, something like chicken and pasta blended? Or just ring your vet for advice.

Welcome to CC. Possibly not want you want to hear but if the little on were mine I would contact the vet. The sooner it is correctly diagnosed rather than maybe trying different potions and lotions the better.

Re: Wanderer returning to old home
If the little one was mine I would certainly try again and keep him in perhaps for a couple of months. However, if there are roads he crosses to get back to your old home I would consider keeping him in as an indoor cat. They usually settle down remarkably well. You just have to remember you are the...

I am so sorry your first post is not on a more positive situation and so sorry to learn of Harpo's condition. As previously advised this is quite a common occurrence and should soon pass. Take care.

I had this problem often when in rescue for over 20 years, found the easiest way was to put the carrier on its end so the door was facing up towards the ceiling (or sky if you are outside) and then put the little one in bum first. It never failed for me.

Re: Keeping a cat indoors whilst unwell??
Please don't feel bad, I personally don't have a problem keeping n a cat forever that has been used to an indoor/outdoor lifestyle. They adapt remarkably well and can have a wonderful quality life. In your case keeping a little one in for only 3 weeks when you have just taken it on is not unusual, m...

I am sure the little one will be fine. While ever she remains unspayed she increases her chances to get mammary tumors and is great risk of pyometra a life threatening infection.

Welcome to CC. I would agree the little one was let out far too soon, I also agree it should be started again. I personally would keep him in at least another month. If they worry about him wanting to go out again just advise them they are the adults and know the implications of letting him out, he ...

Re: Cats not eating wet food
Welcome to CC. As long as you leave them plenty of water cats should be OK. I know people will say they need wet food because of cystitis etc. However, I was in cat rescue for over 20 years and we dealt with hundreds of cats a year and to be honest we had just as many cats with the problems related ...

Welcome to at Cat Chat. Also she is at risk of FIV and FeLV. Please let us know how you ...

Re: Moving two old cats to a new home / transitioning to indoors only
Cats of any age adapt remarkably well to being indoor only, even ferals. I was in rescue for over 20 years and for various reasons re-homed numerous cats that had been used to an indoor/outdoor lifestyle or just outdoor. We just have to remind ourselves if we are tempted to let the little ones out p...

If the little one belonged to me, I would certainly at the very least ring my vet and ask if they were concerned enough for them to see the little one. Cats are very good at hiding problems and pain sometimes until it is too late. Also we lay people cannot see right into the ear canal where there co...

So sad that the little one has been wondering and no one did anything until you opened your heart. Perhaps you could take the little one to the vets and ask them to check for a chip. Re: Young cat moving slowly, reluctant to jump
Cats are very good at hiding pain etc. I think you should ASAP contact your local Cats Protection or nearest rescue and ask to borrow a trap. At the same time perhaps you could discuss with them the possibility of neutering/spaying if needed and also to flea and worm whilst while under anaesthetic.
