Re: Help needed

Welcome Are you usually around when this happens? A few things you can do is try distraction; so whenever you see the situation build up you either get a toy; make a noise or do something to draw his attention away from her. Or as you see it happening say his name and the word No! very firmly. How d...

Re: Atopica - anyone have any experience with it?

Another daft one for you to try - have you smelt Elsie's ears? Sounds gross, but because of the polyps Harry ended up with a wax build up deep down that couldn't get out (which is what would usually happen when they shake their head), and believe you me - it has a certain smells. Elsie could be scra...

Re: Atopica - anyone have any experience with it?

Hey there He tends to scratch at his ears quite a bit leaving bloody scabs etc and he often walks with his ears pointing side or down-ward vs the proper upright ear that you normally see on cats. And he's more wind sensitive in his ears; if a breeze catches the ear at a certain angle it seems to be ...

Re: applaws dry food alternative?

I have mine on Arden Grange and they're really happy - get it from Zooplus. Another grain free one which is good Also depending on the size of your cat - I also have a bowl of Sanabelle (again Zooplus) out for them. It's another hyperallergenic kibble but a bigger one that helps keep teeth clean and...

Atopica - anyone have any experience with it?

Hi everyone, haven't been here for a while - hope everyone has been keeping well? Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with Atopica for their cat? My Harry has been diagnosed with a dust mite allergy and I've done what I can to try dust mite proof the house as much as I can; but it's not ...

he is absolutely gorgeous and if he's not making any signs of desperation to get out then leave him where he is for the winter and then come the spring he can chose if he wants to be outside (supported) or happy to remain indoors. He certainly knew what household to come to for help; he'll be in the...

I'm always terrified one of my carriers will split apart when en route with a cat, so all mine have been cable tied together under the four clasps and I double and triple check the grate in the front of it... So far thankfully all been fine

Re: I am so annoyed!!

Our local RSPCA branch is one of the good ones and they're really pro-active in so many ways But re your Bella, in all honesty a dental can go up to that amount... if it's an older cat then a good vet should do full bloods beforehand to confirm that the cat is healthy enough for an anaesthetic. Olde...

Re: Need advice re rehoming one of my kittens

I thought generally kittens are best left with the mum and siblings till ten or twelve weeks ideally. Eight weeks seems a bit early for cats, they learn important socialization skills when with mum and crew. The kitten left longer is honestly better off then the sibs leaving at eight weeks. very go...

Re: Need advice re rehoming one of my kittens

I'm a firm believer in the saying: If in doubt out. Follow your gut instinct if you're not happy. I'd be curious about her previous kitten how long she had it (still has it) and maybe you could ask for vet details and get a vet reference. That may help ease your mind. If there is no vet record then ...

Re: What wet food brand do you use?

Out of interest, do some wet foods smell better than others in terms of litter tray odour ? I think so yes.... I personally think Whiskas as a food both before consumption and after output is one of the smellier ones  Generally you'll find the higher the meat content the less poop there'll be ...

Re: What wet food brand do you use?

I've never heard of Weruva, is it available here in the It all depends on your cat, what it likes and doesn't and what your budget is - the best food is a food your cat will eat. I've tried feeding mine raw food, expensive high meat content foods etc and have wasted so much money I'm sure I could ha...

Re: Felix grain free? Massive diarrhoea issues!

A bit late to this and I think I've managed to read everything. The one thing I would say is that if you've been feeding Whiskas dry without a problem then the problem most certainly won't be cereals given that grains are the main ingredient in that dry food. If you look at a list of ingredients, th...

I had the Loc8tor for mine which was good but.... because it adds a bit of extra weight to the cat collar i found that they'd lose them easier. Please would you explain that to my lot Mark.... Sainsburys own in gravy they'll eat (well Harry, Ava and Abbie will) but any other own brand in gravy you'd swear I was trying to poison them.

They can be both Catfan... Mark, what about the Arden Grange I feed my lot - you can get it from Waitrose?

But if Kasper really does like the Purizon, why not order 2 bags of the food plus maybe a treat or some wet food added to bring it to the £39.00 you need. It does keep so you could store the bag somewhere?

Do you have a back garden that you could catproof, that would then allow your cat outdoor access but still remain safe. Provided you have a basic knowledge of DIY, a 6ft fence all round, a decent cordless screwdriver and a staple gun it's actually not that difficult to do. Fiddly yes, but not diffic...
