Re: Neutering A Sick Cat
Sorry for late reply, yes he started spraying after he had been allowed out for a couple days. The spraying started when I would not let him out. Well its not living in the kitchen that's a problem it's just he seemed stressed at not being allowed out. Cat proofing the garden may be possible, I woul...

Re: Am I Being Cruel? Is it time?? Video
Thank you Mollycat for your kind words. I believe she likes our home and does want to stay as long as she can. She ate well overnight and wanted a wee walk this morning though the head shaking was less which is good. She also enjoys her morning neck and face rub with my foot as I eat my breakfast th...

Re: Am I Being Cruel? Is it time?? Video
Hi Mollycat Yes I understand what you mean with that statement and sorta was accepting it until Daisy ate her food with both her metacam and gabapentin in it. Fast forward 90 minutes and she is climbing through the shoes in the cloak room!! It's a roller-coaster of emotions for her and myself and da...

Hi All, my 25 year old lady called Daisy is still with us and her eating is good and is now drinking out of her water bowl. She has skin cancer on her ear which she keeps scratching until it bleeds every few days. I have seen some soft Elizabethan style collars but as she is older and a wee bit wobb...

Re: Does 25yr old cat need pain meds for CKD and ear cancer
Thank you both for your very helpful replies. Her creatinine is within range 117 (40-180) so it does look more like liver from what you are saying. I have just this evening bought her a water fountain to encourage her to drink but she hasn't really been interested but it could take time. Mollycat I ...

Re: Does 25yr old cat need pain meds for CKD and ear cancer
Thank you MollyCat for ur reply. I have monitored her health from afar and got treatment for her ear when required whilst she was with her current owner but now she needs extra comfort and care now so it was an easy decision to let her stay with us. She is so sweet and so grateful. Yes vet said kidn...
