Re: My poor Lilypuss

Dear Anna, we are still thinking of you both, and of sweet little Lily. I hope that when the time comes for my babies that they will take their trip to the Bridge on my lap and in my arms too. Sending you love. x

Feline Diabetes Remission Clinic at the RVC

Hi there, fellow cat friends, Does anyone have a cat, or known anyone who does, who is participating in the feline diabetes remission study at the Royal Veterinary College at Potters Bar? Our boy, Edgar, has been on the study since November last year, and it would be useful to chat to someone else w...

Re: My poor Lilypuss

Dear Anna, there is nothing we can say to take away the sadness, but please know that we share it with you and we have been crying with you today. Your little girl was loved so much and you couldn't have been a more wonderful mummy to her. I know things will seem very dark today, but you are support...

Re: Advice for cat refusing to use litter tray please?

Perhaps you've hit the nail on the head there - that it began when you took the cover off? The cover may have helped the little one feel more secure. Usually toileting outside the litter tray indicates some uncertainty about using the tray. From your cat's point of view it may well have been perfect...

Re: My cat keeps bringing up her food

Hello Cindy

Yes, definitely. It could be nothing or it could be something that needs attention or something that will pass, but if her behaviour has changed, even in small ways, and given that she is an older girl, a vet visit is always advisable.

Re: We need an unnuetered male

Pixie, you've had lots of responses and you probably don't want another one now, as we are all unanimous. I can understand that you want to see your little girl as a mum - although I would never have put my girls through it, there is something heart warming about the thought of seeing your girl with...

Re: cat sitter or cattery ??

Yes, I would support the cat sitter at home option. We are lucky enough to have stumbled on some excellent, dedicated cat sitters, so I am influenced by that I appreciate. We have had them over long weekends and over Christmas for 5 days and my three were perfectly happy and kept to their routines w...

Oh, I am so pleased. What a good girl! I understand exactly what you all mean. It is so lovely to see Pepsi bright eyed in the morning after she has had a quiet day and not much evidence of litter tray usage. They are all so precious. Kisses to the little girl.

Re: Lily's constipated

It's good to hear that Lily isn't dealing with anything in addition to her current problems, bless her. Meowing Heads do a mousse in three flavours which is more like the Sainsbury's TTD mousses than Gourmet Gold. Pepsi likes all three flavours, usually hand fed and warmed a little. I'm not sure abo...

Yes, I agree, keeping them together makes sense. It possibly makes it easier for newcomers to know where to post and for everyone to keep track of as many posts as they would like.

I absolutely agree with Helen - I don't know where I'd be without Cat Chat, so thank you so much for everything!

Re: LACTULOSE FROM PHARMACIST - IS THIS SAFE FOR BARNEY PLEA

Glad he's better, Julie. Everything fine with us. Pepsi went through a stage of being constipated quite often and we used lactulose - a very small amount - every day. Fortunately, she appears to have got over it, and I wonder if it's because she eats more Lily's Kitchen now. I know Carol and Shelly ...

Re: How common are lap cats?

Pepsi and Lou Lou are massive lap cats - it's a question of who gets to whose lap first and paws have been raised if the chosen lap of the night has already been taken. Edgar doesn't do laps. He loves a fuss but he doesn't settle long enough for a lap.

Re: Do you feed the garden birds?

Hi Hazel Since we had the cat proofing put up and our neighbour cut back his overhanging trees we have sadly had fewer birds but I'm hoping the cold weather will bring them back. Edgar is very interested in them but only attempts to catch the larger birds such as magpies and wood pigeons  So fa...
