Re: Bad breeder

Yes, Dave, that was exactly why he wanted the vet details. I used a form on the rspca website to report it so obviously didn’t give quite enough information. He said they would keep me informed but haven’t heard anything else since.

Re: Bad breeder

I actually already had a call from the rspca, asking for a few more details like dates and which vets we saw etc and they have already been to the house today, but nobody answered. They are going back tonight to allow for full time jobs.

Must say that is a much quicker response than I expected!

Re: Bad breeder

Thank you, have reported it as you recommended. George and Logan are both doing brilliantly, a week has made a massive difference already. George still needs eye drops and he also still has quite loose stool, although I think that might have to do with the worming medication. But the idea that she w...

Bad breeder

I have got myself another kitten and he is (like all cats ) the cutest thing on four legs ever! However, I got him from an advert and it said she was a breeder and her British shorthair female got outside and got herself pregnant by the local stray so she had no interest in the kittens as they were ...

Re: Cat Fence

I am going for the DIY version, they wanted almost £600 from Protectapet  Luckily, I work for an engineering company so they made the fence posts for me in the same fashion i. e. 45° from the fence and then another little bend at the top. I have gone for the rigid wire mesh with approx 1"...

Re: Cat Fence

Thank you for your replies! The timed going out is not going to work any more because unfortunately the new neighbour doesn’t want to even give it ago :( At the moment I’m keeping Tyson in full time until he is fully healed up. The cat fencing is hugely expensive so I have a meeting at work next wee...

Cat Fence

Hi all, I've posted several times about my cat Tyson who is quite frankly a bit of a nightmare. He is the most loving cat in the house, he greets me at the door when I come home, gives the best cuddles etc but unfortunately, he is not very good with other animals. Even the neighbour's dogs are terri...

Re: Cat hurt, HELP!

Poor Mitzi! I had to have my cat caged for a long time after an accident and having surgery for a complicated leg break. I only had a problem with him once he was of the opinion that he was well! You could get him some catnip and/or valerian root (mine prefer valerian root) to keep him happy. I plac...

Re: Cat is a bully

Hmmm Ruth, that made me think off something. Tyson has a cyst in his stomach. It was found last year during routine check up when I took him in for his booster vaccination. He was sent to the hospital and had an ultrasound and biopsy. They decided that it wasn’t doing any harm and that it didn’t nee...

Yes, I had him from a kitten and he was done by my usual long trusted vet / hospital.

Re: Cat is a bully

Yes, he was done, Kay. I can only imagine what he would be like as a tom cat! :o

Can testosterone levels change? The situation is definitely getting worse and he 7 next month. Can anything be done about high levels of testosterone?

Cat is a bully

My 7 year old neutered male cat Tyson is causing a lot of trouble at the moment and I don’t understand what is happening :( As you can guess by his name he has always been the trouble maker, from when he was a kitten. One of his brothers also lives in the same road, a few doors down and they don’t g...

Re: Cat in cage advice please

Thanks for all your encouragement and so glad to hear that your cats have recovered (and hopefully forgiven you lol). Tyson is doing quite well. He is moving around better as he started bending the leg now at the knee while he kept it straight in the first week which didn't help his balance at all. ...

Re: Cat in cage advice please

Thank you for your replies. Unfortunately I was advised to not let Tyson out of the cage AT ALL, even clean around him. Today he made a leap out of the door while I was fussing him. I caught him mid air so no harm done. But he's trying already :? So taking him to bed with me is sadly out of the ques...

Cat in cage advice please

One of my three babies has been in an rta which resulted in a broken femur. I will try not get into a rant about whoever hit him leaving him so he had to drag himself home! The leg was so badly fractured our local hospital couldn't treat him and he was sent to the West Midlands referral Centre in Li...
