Re: Cat sitter
Thank you Molly, I think we will use a cat sitter again. The cat sitter we used has cats of her own and only lives 5 minutes away, she stays around half an hour at a time to play, groom and feed the cat and Rummy seemed very relaxed when we came back from our mini break.

Re: Advice please
Thank you for replies everyone...it is much appreciated.
We are going to start with a low volume and scatter treats and toys for her.
Rummy wasn't too bad with the fireworks, she didn't like the loud bangs or the one's that have a high pitch noise to them, she took herself off behind the wardrobe.

Re: Advice please
Thank you for replies, shutting her in isn't an option...we have come quite a long way with Rummy since adopting her and we certainly don't want a setback. I have brought a couple of catnip toys today and have put them downstairs so that when she comes down she can play with them if she wants, (she ...

Advice please
Hi, We have had Rummy now for nearly 3 months and she is settling in well. Rummy is venturing downstairs but will only stay if either the television or radio is off, she doesn't seem to be comfortable when they are on. Bonfire night I put a radio on in the back bedroom where she like to hang out but...

Re: Feliway

We give Rummy treats when she enters new rooms and lots of encouragement, last night she stayed with me in the computer room whilst I was on the computer, she stayed for abou...

Hi Ruth B Thank you for your reply, I am going to keep the food and if after a few weeks of giving her something else she goes back on it then that would be fab, if not the charity will be receiving it. Re: Best type of food
Hi, Rummy is settling in well with us :) Rummy has now decided after buying her Royal Canin Senior consult 1 that she has gone off of it, she seems to suck the gravy off and leave the meat, this has left me with quite a few pouches has we had to buy it online for her. She turned her nose up at Iams ...

Re: Changing Litter after a wee
Thank you Mollycat and Ruth B, We left the door open yesterday evening and blocked the stairs so that she could explore the landing which I think she enjoyed, I also witnessed her climbing her cat tree to sit on the window sill to look out, I think she may have done this a couple of times but it was...

Re: Best type of food
Hi Ruth and Mollycat, Thank you for the replies. We will keep Rummy on the Royal Canin for a while as we don't want her getting stressed by changing her food so soon, it will also give me time to have a look around. I might be getting the insurance from this link https://www.theinsuranceemporium.co....

Thanks everyone for the replies. The rescue have done all full blood tests and they have come back clear. We are going to open a separate bank account and pay so much in every month should we need it. We are going to see the cat on Saturday to see if we are a match
