Re: Royal Canin Diet Gastro intestinal food

Hi Issi Yes my vet saw Scout about the cat litter issue, she had x-rays. I used to use catsan litter but with Scout eating it, it was building up in her stomach and causing inflamation of her stomach lining. I changed the litter straight away and after a course of tablets Scout is much better. I sti...

Re: Royal Canin Diet Gastro intestinal food

You're welcome. It is quite a task with the feeding, sometimes I feel like I am feeding about 20 cats instead of 4. I know the food is expensive from the vet but at least he likes it which is the main thing. Anita

Re: Royal Canin Diet Gastro intestinal food

Scout is doing well thanks. I buy the food from Zooplus I think it is around £25 for a 3.5kg bag. It lasts Scout quite a long time as she is the only one of my gang that eats it. I have 4 cats and they all have different things, Riley is on RC diet control she is a little chunky, Bailey is on gourme...

Re: Royal Canin Diet Gastro intestinal food

My cat Scout is on this food, She has been eating it for about 8 months now. My vet suggested it after Scout was loosing weight , she was eating cat litter, :( and this caused problems with the lining of her stomach, she was on James Wellbeloved dried but her system was not absorbing the food. She i...

Re: Paper Based Cat Litter

My cat does not seem at all interested in this litter, I mentioned cats best to my vets and she said it would be ok. I will be keeping my eye on Scout just to make sure she does not start nibbling this litter. The last munching was an expensive job, plus all the fighting to get her to take the table...

Re: Paper Based Cat Litter

Thank you everyone for your advice.
The cats Best litter arrived yesterday. I filled the trays with a deep layer and all the cats seemed to like it as both trays had been used overnight.

It was easy to clean up and no smell. I will definatley be using this one from now on.

Thanks. Anita :)

Re: Paper Based Cat Litter

Thanks Meriad for the advice, I have never used the clumping litter before, so I will make sure I have it deep enough and leave it to soak in.

Thanks again.

Re: Paper Based Cat Litter

Lilith, thank you for your reply and the kind offer of the litter. Unfortunatley I have tried this one and it was not popular. I think I will look at the wood based ones. Thanks again. Anita

Re: Paper Based Cat Litter

Thanks Crewella I will look at the wood-based ones, hopefully I will find a good one, that helps with my 4 cats. They all go out and I have a catflap but still like to use the litter trays when it is too much trouble to go outside or at night when they are locked in.

Paper Based Cat Litter

Hi, I can no longer use the clay based cat litter as one of my cats has been eating so The vet advised me to use a paper based one. ( vet does not know why she is eating it, she has tested her blood, xrays and she is fine. ) Can anyone recommend a good one, the one I bought does not seem very good a...

Re: Pet Porte or Surflap?

Hi I have a Surflap cat flap, the large size ( big cats :) It is fitted into a glass door. Once the microchips are registered you are good to go. I have had no problems with unwanted cats getting in, they sometimes try but have not managed it. Occassionaly when one of the cats goes out the flap does...

Re: Cat Gone Off Wet Food

One of my cats only eats dry food. When she was younger she loved wet food and chicken. Then one day she just stopped eating everything apart from dry food, it is almost like she has some kind of phobia of wet food.
She has not eaten wet food for over 5 years and she is perfectly healthy.

Re: Can you have a cat flap in glass double glazed door?

I had a cat flap fitted last year. My door is a full double glazed patterned panel it cost me about £225 plus the cat flap, it only took them about 40 minutes to replace. It is just a shame that only one of my four cats have mastered it :(

Felix Tokens

Hi
Just wondering does anyone collect the felix cat tokens, I have about 1400. I was just going to send them in for tins of food for the CPL but just thought I would ask if anyone wanted any before I sent them in.

Thank you Lyn for your reply.
I think I will just leave them with a little dandruff now and then as they really would not like a fishy taste on their food.

Thanks again.

Re: My cat has looks like she has dandruff

Thanks for all your replies. Yes they are all moulting at the moment, i do try and brush them but they do not really like it. I have been sorting some paperwork and I have found a note I made about the product the vet suggested. She mentioned adding Nordic Naturals pet cod liver oil to their food on...

My cat has looks like she has dandruff

Hi I am quite new to the forum, I check in most days, but this is my first real post. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of anything to help with my cats dandruff problem. The vet mentioned something when they went for her annual check up but I cannot remember what she suggested. I have 2...

Re: FIRST TRIP OUTSIDE - ADVICE PLEASE !!!!

Hi I have just joined this forum, I have been lurking for a long time. When I got 2 rescue cats in 2012, I kept them in for about 6 months before letting them out. At first they were scared and only stayed out about a minute before running back inside. I let them out before being fed and stayed with...
