cats/ food transition
hello- both my cats, approx 9 month- have been on a raw diet, they both had no problems with it until recently. one has rejected it on/off for the past two months. sometimes loves it, then wont eat it for days/ vomits after eating, then he is fine with it a few days later and goes wild for it. we bo...

Re: probiotics
You can, I thought it was normally given after the course of treatment but I'm no expert - my cat couldn't take pre or pro biotics at all. What will definitely help support his gut if you can get it though is vitamin B and especially B12, there is a combo called Cobalaplex specifically for cats, if...

Re: cat bald patch (ringworm)
i am sorry to hear the treatment is not working for you, i have started my cats oral and topical treatment. it is quite intense to give her the oral medication- not a pleasant expereince for either- even with two people try to assist. she is really not into it. my vet said if the other cat is not sh...

hello, my cat is on antibiotics for ringworm- is it advisable to give cats probiotics after their course of treatment? may be overthinking this, as when I've had antibiotics its also killing the good bacteria and i would take probiotics to help restore- assuming this principle is the same for cats??...

cat inheat after spay
hello my cat was spayed apporx two months ago 6months. since then in middle or each month (when she was usually in heat) she is showing signs of being in heat. i mentioned this to the vet after first month- that she was insanely affectionate, rubbing face in my face, ragging around the room, more vo...

Re: ringworm
I've never dealt with ringworm but if you are looking for a steam cleaner, type "best steam cleaner for upholstery and carpet" into Google or any search engine ignore the advertisements and read the reviews. Have a look at this site https://search.which.co.uk/search?w=steam+cleaners (you ...

hello, all is there a reliable, recommended reasonably priced place online where one can buy cat meds? My vet prescribed some meds for my cat that was close to £200 and looking around online with someone click research, they are significantly cheaper, he seemed a bit taken aback when i asked for a w...

hello, i currently give my two cats raw food diet purrform- this was what they were feed when we adopted them, so we continued with it. our vet was against a raw diet but didnt offer any alternatives. we also are not keen on handling raw food, but not sure what alternatives there are. the everyday s...

sorry if this is not the most appropriate place to ask. i need to take my cat to the vet, but the elephant in the room, which is not so explicit is their pricing. last time i was blindsided by a monumental bill taking her on a friday 8AM. would this be classed as Out of Hours- is OOH mon-friday 9-5/...

ringworm
hello, i am waiting on my kittens results to see if they have ringworm- although an educated guess tells me it is likely. i will need to start a deep clean of my environment. a number of rooms are carpeted, annoyingly so- is there a steam cleaner that is good for upholstery and at a push, carpets? i...
