Re: Peeing again!!!
You've actually answered the question you are asking yourself. He pees when you go out after work or when he's left for long periods of time, as he did at his last home. He's telling you he's frustrated and bored. Cats can't tell us when there's a problems so they show us with inappropriate peeing o...

Re: BSH Breeder in South East
I'm so sorry to hear about Eli, fip is such a horrible disease. There are lots of rescues in London that will soon be overwhelmed with kittens as the season gets going. Do they have to be pedigree? It really doesn't define their character. What part of London? The celia Hammond trust have branches b...

Re: Any advice cats fouling on our beds
It does sound as if your poor cat is very stressed out indeed. They can't tell us that there is a problem so they show us by living inappropriate "gifts". You do need to thoroughly clean all the tainted areas but DO NOT use bleach. Bleach is ammonia and to a cat it smells like a big unneut...

M25 cat killer
This is a horrific subject to have to talk about but things seem to be getting worse out there for our furry companions, another cat this week has been butchered in Kent. Those of us who have cats who go outside know the worry of them not coming home and the thought that someone could do such horrib...

Re: Very nervous rescue kittens
Hi there, please don't even think of letting them outside yet. 6 months would be the earliest a confident, good sized kitten should be going outside, a timid kitten wouldn't be able to cope with all the stimuli outside. Carry on with what you are doing, plenty of play etc. Have you tried gaining con...

Re: Paper Based Cat Litter
I use breeder celect for my lot, it's a compressed newspaper pellet with no dust or mess. You can get it from pets at home or alternatively yesterday's news is a paper pellet litter that is readily available online. The only thing I'd be concerned about with paper litter is it swells and if your cat...

Re: New kitten
Getting a kitten after such a long time will be a shock to the system ( in a good way). Kittens upto the age of 6 months need worming monthly, something like kitten milpro is what I recommend. Flea treatment can be every other month until kitty starts to go outside. I find kitten stronghold which yo...

Re: Possible epilepsy?
Hi, I'm glad I helped put your mind at rest a little. Fred wasn't able to get out of our garden as he had multiple health issues, but I would recommend that you cat proof your garden just to keep Charlie safe and in close proximity to your home. Fred was first put on epiphen but I always found that ...

Re: Possible epilepsy?
Hi there, I can understand how horrible it is for you when Charlie has a fit, my Fred was epileptic from the age of 18 months. His was extremely severe, he would thrash around on the floor, be incontinent, foam at the mouth etc. After the fit passed he would be in a daze for about 5 minutes then be ...

This is definitely a neutered male.
Female openings are closer together and the vagina resembles a T shape.
From the colouring I can see in the photo he also looks tabby not calico.

Re: best litter
How old are the kittens? Up to about 6 months kittens can eat pieces of cat litter, because of this the best litter is the woodchip pellet type. It's the only litter that if you do get a nibbler when it hits their digestive system it turns to powder and they can just pass it out. No chance of nasty ...

Hi Gill, you don't say how much she weighs. I had a rescue mum who had 7 kittens and the same thing happened to her smallest kitten, even to the siblings laying on top of him. He was put on fluids for 24 hours at the vets but even though he was 6 weeks old he only weighed 4 ounces so needed feeds ev...

If the cat is really friendly, which it seems it is, could you get it to a vets to be scanned for a microchip.
Vets will do this free of charge, and if chipped the cat can be returned to its owner.
Good luck

I had the exact same thing happen to my Roland when he was a kitten. When I asked my vet his explanation was that because Roland was hand reared he hadn't got all the vitamins and minerals from his mum and that as he got older they would grow back. They did, Roland had a wonderful set of whiskers by...

Beautiful white cat found belvedere kent
A beautiful white cat was cowering in the middle of a busy road in belvedere with cars swerving around her.
After stopping and calling her she literally launched herself into my arms then car.
I've scanned her but no chip.
She's safe in my dining room but definately has an owner.

Fred, the most amazing cat I have ever known
fred came to us at the age of 8 weeks. He was a semi feral cat from the local hospital and had been nicknamed " lee the flea" because there were more fleas than kitten. Most of his fur had fallen out and because he had been trying to survive on his own had a tummy like a cannon ball, fille...

Hi Julie, poor barney how horrible for him to keep getting uti's.
I had a cat a few years ago who continually got cystitis and eventually the vet put her on cranberry tablets. It seemed to really help her so it may be worth having a word with your vet to see what he thinks.
Fusses to barney x

Sorry to hear that scamp is missing. If he's a house cat he's probably bewildered at being outside and is hiding. Try going out in the early hours go the morning with a carrier and a box of tarts to rattle for him. Lost cats tend to hide during the day and come out when it's quiet. Call him and then...
