Re: Are laser pointers cruel?

Mine love playing with laser pointers. I usually give them something physical to play with after, when we adjourn from the kitchen/bathroom area to the living room, where their tunnels and boxes and feather dusters are.

Loc8tor is good. I sellotape to collars so they don't dangle. I use Loc8tor Plus, which is a bit more expensive, but has a wider range.

I'm hoovering it up after I finish. The carpet in the landing is a 1960s brown, swirly affair, which has already got a chunk missing, so not too bothered about messing it up!

Ia fabric conditioner toxic?

I'm getting different messages from different websites. I'm using some diluted fabric conditioner to paste on walls to assist in removing wallpaper. Some will be stuck to slivers of wallpaper that fall onto the floor (onto a carpet which is also going, so I'm not being particularly careful about mes...

Re: Indoor cat needing outdoors: which option is best??

I prefer to let cats out when I can. For when I'm not there, or when it's dark I let them go into the back garden which I cat-proofed inexpensively. http://www.photobucket.com/catgarden" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; shows a few early pics after I first did it a few years ago. Re: My baby has cancer and I'm a bit lost...

Hi

I know a human squamous cell carcinoma doesn't have much of a risk of spreading (although there is some). After looking up the cat one they say it can spread quickly, so really the tumour should be removed.

Not in mine. It's just full of jackets which she likes to slalom through, leaving a trail of white fur on each one!

Re: Constant scratching on wardrobe door

Kitty (pictured) does the same. It is probably only about twice a week, but I'm not sure why. If I open the door and let her sniff inside sometimes this stops it, sometimes not.

Maybe we all have invisible bogeyman in our wardrobes? :D

Yes, Coco (the black and white) is the mother of the other two (Kitty - my avatar) and Tango. At one point I had four (3 kittens) but sadly lost Frisky to the road 2 years ago. Coco was next door's cat (also a kitten of their unspeyed cat) but they ignored her, so she and her brother used to spend m...

Kitty (my avatar) goes on my lap quite often, but is quite happy to take my seat when I get up. She also climbs me and rides around on my shoulder. The others aren't, but tolerate being picked up.

Re: Litter trays

I have two trays shared between three cats. They are located on top of a small tarpaulin in a corner of the dining room which is shielded from the rest of the room by the back of the table. the tarp is because they tend to spread the litter around a bit, and I can shake it up into a pile.

My neighbours' male cat (who used to spend more time at my house than his own) , used to come round, sleep next to and play with my cats when they were born.

Re: FOX!

I agree that foxes attacking cats is unlikely. There's one near me who trots down the street at night. if I'm out there with the cats (if it's dark and they're out the front, has to be done) and the fox trots by, the fox doesn't seem interested and the cats vaguely sniff at him as he goes by.

Re: My cat is behaving peculiarly!

One of my cats acted a bit like this a few weeks ago. She didn't greet me when I came home, and I found her skulking under a car. I tried to access her for about an hour but she kept on going under another car. Eventually a neighbour and I managed to clear a path into the house. She slept a bit, had...
