Hello Joe I'm sure she'll keep you updated on Medo as she obviously recognises how much you care about your kittens. Let's know. And I can relate to Sue's comment about 'what I call melt downs'. I've had a couple in the last few months. Vivian

Hi Alfiesmum like Bobby's Girl (Sue) my avartar is Mayday who lost her back leg when she was about 2-3. The vet thinks she got it caught in a trap & as she was so tiny managed to drag it out ... Nothing broken but skin pulled down like a drumstick with everything exposed. He tried to save it but cou...

Hello you're experiencing grief over losing your extended family. Have you considered asking if you can be kept updated on how the kittens are going. As for not winning the competition may be a blessing in disguise. You may attract something better. Try to think +Ve no it's hard but as my dad used t...

Hi Faith this is the process of grieving. Don't fight it - we've all been there where you are now. Post whenever & whatever you'll be supported as I have. Wanda, Sue, Jilly & Mrs Kane were a tower of support for me and if I've missed others sorry. Yesterday I framed a poem my girlfriend in the State...

Di I feel for you - what an appauling way for the dear kitty & you to be treated. I hope you hear some good news. I agree with all the posts here. I'd report the vet! Keep us posted on any developments. And the previous owners shouldn't have been given kitty. They never reported her missing to the n...

Hi if the leg is damaged in any way he needs to take the cat to a vet! It's cruel not to. I hope he does. How would he like to have a damaged leg & not be taken to a doctor or a hospital? Also as the cat has come home, the cat obviously thinks a lot of your friend & thinks he will look after him. Ke...

Hi feral cat lover is there a possibility you could ask the vet to put a credit on your credit card & arrange a weekly instalment with them. Obviously you didn't expect that charge & just panicked & you weren't in a good head space to think of alternatives. Have you thought of putting her on a hot w...

Elsa's prime real estate until Crystal moved to the Rainbow Bridge was the dining room table where she still eats her Renal RC. It was ages before she was comfortable moving to my bed. And as Mayday had only 3 legs as she got older I was worried about her jumping from the bed at night I moved her to...

Hi Jan that's good news. My vet of 28 years (retired last year) put Mayday, Crystal and now Elsa, who has lower stage 3 kidney issues, on a powder form of Ipakitine for years. Elsa now also takes 2 potassium tablets a day. Vivian

Hello Bron my Mayday LOVED rockmelon. Hi Deatstar I'm no expert nor have I experienced this behaviour but could it be anxiety related & perhaps talk to your vet to try some calming medication. One of the vet nursers where I volunteer has a rag doll who suffered regularly with cystitis - Chloe the cat really doesn't like women & gravitat...
