Re: My cat is missing - Eastwick (Found)

I'm sure all cases are different, but Basil was allowed out for 5/10 minutes twice a day to 'stretch his legs' under close supervision, but wasn't allowed to run or jump. The vet originally said perhaps 6 weeks, then another four, then another two .... and so on until we got to 15 weeks and he was ...

Re: My cat is missing - Eastwick (Found)

Well, initially I borrowed one large cage from the vets and one small one from a friend with a small dog. After a few weeks of that, I went out and bought another large cage myself (passed it on later to another friend needing a cage for their puppy). Tilly wasn't allowed out of the cage for two mo...

Re: My cat is missing - Eastwick (Found)

I was going to add, before Tilly came and sat on the keyboard, that if you have room, you should get two cages which can be set up door to door. Sami can then have one cage for an eating/sleeping area and a separate toilet area in the other cage. You can slide a board between the two cages to clean...

Re: My cat is missing - Eastwick (Found)

...... and even with his pronounced limp, Basil has just thundered past me at high speed, chasing Daz round the house in a mad five minutes! I may worry about him, his limp and his future, but he doesn't seem too bothered! :D Lol bless him...I can see Sami doing the same thing..cats leave the worry...

Re: My cat is missing - Eastwick (Found)

Glad the operation went well. Hope your lad continues to improve. Although the long time in a cage may seem daunting to us, our cats seem able to cope quite well. My Tilly certainly did. She had to spend 3 months in a cage after an accident but was surprisingly well behaved (and made a full recover...

Re: My cat is missing - Eastwick (Found)

If it helps, my lad Basil came into rescue as an abandoned cat that had been hit by a car and wandering with a badly broken leg for weeks. He needed a pin, plate and frame and was on cage rest for about 15 weeks in the end whilst they tried to get the bone to set properly, and there was a strong po...

Re: My cat is missing - Eastwick (Found)

All paws here still crossed for him. xx The operation went well on Friday, it's hopeful...but it's going to be unsure for a while yet...he should be home tomorrow, but he will have to stay in a cage and have regular trips back to the vet...and might need a skin graft Thank you for keeping thinking ...

Re: My cat is missing - Eastwick (Found)

All good vibes coming your way. Great thank you very much... I was so worried I'd never see my boy again, but he's getting on well...he's young and strong...but I might not be able to see him for about a week...apparently he might get very excited (well it hasn't happened in 2.5 years lol) but I ha...

My cat is missing - Eastwick (Found)

image.jpeg My cat, Sami, is missing from our house in Eastwick. He is two years and three months, and he is white/tabby. He is my everything. I haven't seen him since Saturday lunchtime...he usually reappears after a couple of days, but we've been all over the village and the local fields and farms...
