Re: Felix grain free? Massive diarrhoea issues!

I found another link on this site where somebody had a similar problem. https://www.catchat.org/felineforum/viewtopic.php?t=2065 My 8mth kitten has loose stools now and again. Sometimes it's when he drinks rain water that I notice he has this. I feed him a mixture of cat food, cheap and expensive as...

Re: Felix grain free? Massive diarrhoea issues!

I would suggest giving the chicken until her diarrhoea goes away and her stools are normal, then GRADUALLY mix some felix with the chicken slowly over the next few days and see what happens. If it comes back, then she has developed an allergy to that food for some reason. Do the same again with the ...

So sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my gentle Alfie in April this year. He was 10 yrs old and had colon cancer and I had to put him to sleep :( Last night I was convinced I heard him in the kitchen eating his biscuits and then I had my first dream about him being alive... It sounds like Thomas vis...

Good Luck with the treatment!

You can maybe keep Pallina cool by placing a frozen bottle of water wrapped in a towel in the cat carrier. I hear the temperature in Italy is getting very hot!!! :O Keep safe!

He's stalking you and you're his prey! OMG that sounds like my kitten I let out a few months ago. It was like a scene from Benny Hill!!  He would play chase with me too, teasing me by coming close then legging it the minute I went to reach for him! He's calmed down a lot since then as the...

That could be it. Mine drank some rain water last week and I also noticed loose stools. He seems fine now.

Re: Make cat food smell more appetising?

Like willowdragon suggests, try mixing some high meat/fish content dry food with the wet food. Mine is a bit fussy about eating Butchers best but will happily eat all of it if I mix some James Wellbeloved dry cat food with it!

Re: Chronic Bronchitis

I've never had a cat with chronic bronchitis so can't really comment. But I do know about allergies! Your cat MAY be allergic to your dog, as your dog can pick up tree and grass pollen. You can help reduce the allergens on your dog by brushing and bathing him weekly. This will help prevent the build...

Thank you vanilla, I had a go when she was eating, clever how they can eat and growl at the same time :D did get a few though. Yes Alan I think a few at a time will be the answer. Re: Bee sting!

I spoke to another friend whose cat got stung ages ago. She took him to the vet and they didn't do anything. Swelling seems to be going down slowly. He's okay in himself so I'll skip the vet but keep an eye on him for a few days. Thank you all for your experiences! So worried when I saw his little f...

Bee sting!

Arrggh!!! I think my cat has been stung by a bee! He has a little swollen area on his face. I touched it and he immediately groomed himself.

Anyone else had their cat stung by a bee? What did you do??

Try and get them out when she's eating or sleeping. If you have someone else who can help to hold her, while you groom?

Re: Does fur colour change?

My brown tabby had a light brown line inbetween two black lines when he was a kitten. When he grew up the light brown line had gone and he had a solid black line down his back. I think fur markings will slightly change when the cat grows up.

licking castration wound

So I took my little one to the vets to get castrated. They said he didn't need a collar as he was fine with it.

When I got him home and after a feed, he was licking that area. Should I put a e-collar on him? Or is it okay to just leave it be.

Re: Kittens smell bad

Jane - the kittens are only 4 weeks old, so not only too young to neuter, but too young for their hormones to be creating a smell. It is common in hand-reared kittens to smell, as they don't have a mum to clean them - I would suggest wiping them down a couple of times a day with baby wipes. Ah yes,...

There's a link here on what causes it and what you can do. Hope it helps.

If your cat was a human in a past life time...

... what would he/she have been?

I'll start.

My 6mth old cat chases and dribbles his ball toys and rummages through bins and takes out tissues to play with. So to me his past life as a human would have been a professional footballer, who lost all his money and then became homeless!

Re: Eye sick

From the picture it looks like he has something inside? Maybe an eyelash, grass seed or piece of dirt that acts as an irritant. If it continues, maybe take him to the vet to check the eye out. Could be a small cyst inside?
