Re: Best ways to trim a cats nails and then wash/bathe them?

Oh ive also heared horror stories of people cutting the claws too short and causing agony for the cat. I take mine to the vet. He only charges 6 pounds and he does it so quickly and professionally and he only needs them doing about every 2 or 3 months.

Theo is grunting

Why do cats grunt. Theo sits looking at us making this strange grunting sound. It sounds like an elderly man with a weezy chest. He does it when hes looking out of the window too.

I would like to add that my "feelings" about the post are nothing at all to do with mental health issues. That's something most of us have suffered at some time. I sometimes go on a forum called "trip advisor off topic chatter" and every now and then someone will post something t...

theo got his claw caught

Awww I had a fright before. Theo got his claw caught in his scratch post. He was really stuck and frightened and I tried to free it and he was kind of yelping then he managed to get free. He seemed to twist his paw around. I'm just hoping he hasn't done any damage. He ran upstairs to hide. I'll be t...

Totally agree with grace56. I'm no expert but animals need a happy relaxed life and if that means being unselfish and letting them go to a happy environment then that's what you do. Put the animals first, not what you want, could you not just keep one. It doesn't sound like you can cope with more. I...

Thanks for the replies. I think it must just be theres no demand for it in Liverpool  I,ll stay with the pate because he loves that. He wont eat anything with "bits" in or gravy. Ive tried all kinds and he will totally do without eating rather than eat anything other than the pate an...

Hi folks. I always buy Gourmet Gold Pate for Theo for his evening meal  He has Go Cat dry in the day. Re: My beautiful jasmine died on Friday .

Oh its so sad. Is it really worth letting cats out to roam anymore. There are just so many cars on th roads nowadays and so many speeding drivers. Its not like it was years ago when there wasn't so much traffic. Also theres been a lot of cats gone missing around where I live and rumours are that the...

Re: Advice needed on sticking my nose in

Oh I think Lilith has great advice. I'd definitely do the same. And I wouldn't feel like I was "dumping her in a shelter". The shelters have the cats best interest at heart and the poor little thing would be groomed and fed properly and probably get more attention than it has now.

Re: Question For All Cat Lovers.

The fact the person is" selling" makes me wonder the motive. And a three figure sum at that. I would want my cat to go to a genuine cat lover, preferably someone I knew. And I wouldn't think of taking money as long as it was going to a good home. But everyone different I suppose.

Re: Cat music, does it really work?

Hi Mrs Kane. I also looked at the "music t help cats sleep" on YouTube and it looks amazing but I don't know where to purchase them. I looked on amazon but they didn't seem the same ones. So I put the classical music station on the radio and yes it certainly worked on Theo. He was sitting ...

A gift from Bob. Has anyone fead it

I'm not sure if I've asked this before but I purchased a book called A Gift From Bob by James Bowen. How a street cat helped one man learn the meaning of Christmas. He was a homeless guy and a cat befriended him. Oh my, you need tissues when you read this book but its amazing and shows the bond a ca...

Re: After some advice on a seemingly permanently frightened

I also have a very nervous cat who I've written about on here. Theo. Beautiful cat who we got last march from the rescue. He's absolutely fine with me and hubby but runs and hides if anyone else is here. He seems at his happiest with just us and him. But it also saddens me that he's so frightened of...
