It worked for me, lovely ponds and waterfall in progress? ! don't forget the water needs to be quite deep for fish, my pond is at least 6 foot in places, to ensure it does not freeze in winter. We had ours covered with a mesh wire grill and a cat ( not one of mine) fished my largest 12 year old fish...

He still ran around like a lunatic, so never knew his age but was not a young cat.

I have been worrying now that perhaps he banged his head on the chair when he rushed in, even made Phoebe walk under it a few times to make sure she clears the runners.
