Re: Food recommendation

I wouldn't worry about the size of the stool unless they seem too hard and she's straining to go. I've always thought that a small stool means that most of the food is being digested. On a grain-free raw diet, stools are very small and dry. We feed grain-free wet foods and didn't worry about fibre u...

Re: URGENT! 1 year old black cat needs home. TORQUAY, SOUTH DEVON

I've heard of a cat reacting to another cat that's come home from the vet but not the other way around. Sorry to ask, but has Vi been back to the vet for a check-up since the spay? Maybe she's not feeling well?

Re: Wobbly Old Lad

12 is senior but not really old. We have two 19 year old cats with hyperthyroidism and kidney disease - they're old! Despite his good appetite, has he lost weight and/or been drinking lots of water? Having had several hyperthyroid cats, wobbly legs always makes me think of hyperthyroidism. Kidney di...

There are lots of different cardboard scratchers (mats/boxes/loungers/beds) constructed using the ends of cardboard which cats apparently love to scratch. This page shows some different ones: http://www.petplanet.co.uk/search_adv.asp?sp=cardboard&NavSource=search You'd have cardboard pieces to h...

Re: PAPER COLLARS TO FIND AN OWNER-GOOD IDEA?

I've seen all-plastic collars that were impregnated with chemicals for calming or flea prevention. I wonder if it could be one of those. You could tape a little message directly onto the collar: Your cat? Call . . . If no response after a few days, I'd take him to a vet to be checked for microchip. ...

Hi Meriad, I hope Abbie is OK. When they find elevated white blood cells and nothing else, do they leave it to resolve on its own or should they give a course of antibiotics? Many years ago when Flo was quieter/sleepier than normal, losing weight and linking concrete (!), they found that she had ele...

I'm wondering if he could be a blue/grey Siamese? I found a expired ad on Pets4homes for a blue Siamese missing since January that looks very similar. I've emailed Pets4homes to ask them to contact the person who placed the ad in case he's still missing.

Home Needed for 2 Male Cats (NW9)

I've become aware of two 9 year old neutered male cats in NW9 who need a new loving home. They are brothers who are very close and need to stay together. A home check will be required. If you can offer them a home, please contact me through my profile. Thanks. Edited 22-8-16: Still looking for a goo...

Trying mixing it with a smaller portion of food first thing in the morning. They'll usually eat it if they're hungry.

I buy from Animed Direct - £12.99 with free delivery:

I hope it helps yours like it did ours! Rosie and Flo get Yumove twice a day and we decrease the amount of food in that portion to make sure they eat all of it. Then they get seconds. :)

Re: Neighbours old cat limping

There's a number of reasons why a cat might be limping, including: - injury (for example, pulled muscle, paw injury, in-grown claw) - arthritis - luxating patella - muscle wastage (for example, from an untreated disease such hyperthyroidism) If it's arthritis, a good first step is Yumove Advanced Ca...

It would be a lot less traumatic for them to stay with you but be kept inside, than to be fostered or in a cattery for a long time.

Did you try these two rescues? I've found both of them to be really helpful.

Paws for Life / 9 Lives: 07986 135081

London Cat Rescue: 07828 898319

I wouldn't worry about Ouzo hissing at her. It's just to let her know who's in charge and the fact that she's not reacting to it is a good thing.
