Re: It's the not knowing....

It's now coming up for 13 weeks since Bailey disappeared...I'm about to do one last mail drop in the road asking neighbours to now look for his body..I hope we can find him and bury him in the garden where he belongs. I have taken some of his unused experimental food tins to the local Pets At Home s...

Re: Excessive drooling - is it an emergency?

You say you found pools of drool...could this be vomit...Bailey sometimes threw up clear slightly frothy liquid...could you have mistaken this for drool?
Poor lamb hope he feels better soon....

I saw this Manifesto the other day on "Pussington Post" website. Brilliant idea if it takes off...Pussington Post seem to specialise in heartwarming stories of cat rescues etc in the USA but occassionaly they have items from UK and this was on a few days ago.. I keep Pussington Post in fav...

Jan,
I've never been advised that Program goes with a tablet? Just had the jab and that's it done.
What are the tablets for?

Re: We need an unnuetered male

I always think it is such a sad life for some kittens as they are taken away from their mothers way too soon and they often grow up with personality disorders as they didn't have the best start in life..most seem to be given away at 6 weeks which I think is far to early in their development. I look ...

Re: Molly hates flea day!

My cats have always had "Program" injections for fleas...It's once every 6 months and it covers them against fleas..I believe it works by killing the fleas if they bite but not sure on that. You can always Google it for info. They don't lay eggs either..I've sworn by it for years .I couldn'...

Oh..btw...re Siamese and their points etc.. For a number of years I breed Guinea pigs for showing ( when I was a bit younger..!) and specialised in what they called Himalayan...They are exactly like the Siamese cat..White body and brown points and yes their coats did respond to the weather..Isn't na...

Re: Is my baby girl a Bombay?

Lilith.. Interesting about Siamese..Have loads of books on the breed as I adore the breed. We have had a few Siamese over the years and love the Seal Point as they are so vocal. They say the darker the point the more vocal they are..Our beloved Bailey ( see lost cats."It's the not knowing "...

Re: Is my baby girl a Bombay?

What a brilliant answer Bobbys girl..! So I suppose the blue eyes of Siamese is due to lack of pigment...well it's genius. Still love my darling Siameses hyacinth blue peepers...so beguiling. If you looked very carefully at Baileys eyes they had a slight wobble..but the vet said it wasn't unusual an...

Re: Is my baby girl a Bombay?

All the Siamese that we have been slaves too have had eyes that reflected red in the dark..maybe something to do with the blue eyes...hmmm mind you I recall Trio the Havana having really green eyes having looked at a photo on my computer (that I couldn't download as it said file too big..!!) she has...

Re: Is my baby girl a Bombay?

I seem to remember from books that the Bombay is distinctly brown in colour..May have to look it up again.Good old Google..!! We had a chocolate point Siamese boy and his sister before Bailey & Abby. Trio the girl was classed as a Havana as she was an all brown Siamese. (Trio as she was born wit...

Dear Rosiepix... I'm so sorry you didn't manage to retrieve his body.. I contacted our local council and spoke to a nice lady in the department that deals with animal road fatalities, she took my description of Bailey and said that nothing like him had been bought in (so far )..She also said they di...

I think we are coming to terms with the fact that Bailey probably died soon after his disappearance or we would have heard something by now as he was quite a distinctive Siamese ( not your average stray )...so will leafl...

Re: It's the not knowing....

An update for our Bailey..... Still nothing. I don't think he would have survived outside on these very cold nights..if he was ailing and undernourished..I suspect he would have died from exposure. What horrible thought, him being all alone and wanting a kind and loving hand to hold him tight and ki...
