Re: A long battle with Kylie's food and sods law.

I told him I had some Protexin symbiotic capsules. but wasn't sure if they had enough probiotic in. He wasn't aware of them, so googled and said they are fine. Go Kylie - keep it up, gorgeous girl! I forgot to say when you posted the above, Mark, that Edgar has Protexin capsules. He has the dog ver...

So glad she's eating and showing you affection, sounds as if she's more settled in herself. Keep the updates coming, Mark. We're all living through this for you and your girl.

Helen, I've just been a scrolling through the posts and I can't believe I missed this. I'm mortified. So sorry. Darling little boy. I hope you are feeling okay and OH too. I am terribly sorry I missed your posts. It's a lesson to me to keep better on track on CC. Hugs and apologies.

Hi Aimie, there is a new branch of Cats Protection recently opened in Mitcham. They may be a good starting point, as well as looking through the rescue pages on the Cat Chat pages. Hope you find your special little girl soon.

Big virtual hugs, Mark. Wish there was more we could do than support you virtually. I'm sure I'm not the only one cuddling our oldies just a little closer tonight thinking of you and your girl. Sending all positive and healing thoughts.

Oh Mark, your poor little girl. It must break your heart to see that weight loss. It has brought a lump to my throat reading your post. Glad she likes the AD, hope she eats it tomorrow. When will the HT result be back? Give Kylie a kiss from me. Take care, all of you. X

Mark, is it worth seeking another opinion with a different vet at another practice that someone local can recommend?

Re: Do cats love us?

Definitely! My Pepsi loves me to the point of obsession. We rescued her from a very lonely situation and the first night with us she was on my lap watching Match of the Day and we never looked back. She is never far away from me and invariably demands that I sit with her with huge meow and by attemo...

Re: A long battle with Kylie's food and sods law.

Sending much love to your beautiful girl. I do hope that you are able to avoid a biopsy. How scary to see her lose so much weight, from one extreme to another, bless her. Bozita is highly recommended for its high meat content and lack of cereals. Edgar, who is inclined to soft poos, likes it and as ...

Re: Anyone got older cats?

Hi Jodie, I have 18 year old Pepsi. She is really well. She has some arthritis, pain controlled by metacam, and has had several teeth out, but her last senior bloods were really good. She does sleep a lot, but she also likes to dash around and play, demand my attention, have a lot of cuddles and lap...

Re: Diabetes

Hi Paula and Percy Percy's Caninsulin dose does sound unusual. Other friends whose furbabes are diabetic are dealing with 1.5 or 2 units twice a day. Obviously it depends on Percy's blood glucose but I would be inclined to ask for another explanation of how your vet has reached that dose. Edgar like...

Re: Diabetes

Hello again, sorry for the delay getting back on CC. Hmmmm... it certainly doesn't sound like time for you boy to be heading to the Rainbow Bridge; perhaps your vet is a little influenced by his older years. Firstly, what insulin is he on? If it is Caninsulin, 0.4 units sounds a very low dose. My bo...

Re: Our user names - and why?

Mine derives from having misunderstood the instructions for creating a user name. I thought that we had to have upper case, lower case, a number and a symbol or two! Once I'd realised I'd obviously got that completely wrong as everyone else had perfectly symbol and number free user names it felt too...

None in the Grantham store the other day - just gravy. Shelly got me some from Lowestoft a while back and posted them! Edgar loves them abut they are a rare treat. Lidl customer service is variable. Re: can any microchip cat flaps keep a cat inside?

You won't regret cat proofing, Mark. Really push it with OH as a priority now you have cats with different needs. Ours was done by Protectapuss shortly after we moved in 16 months ago but our garden is very straightforward and we have now designed the garden around the cat proofing rather than havin...
