Fish or meat.....does it matter?

Bella prefers fish to meat, she will eat chicken but really not keen on beef, I feed her Felix AGAIL, she loves the fishy ones, does this matter, should I give her the meat/beef ones, does she get different vitamins from the beef or can I just feed her the fish & chicken? I am still thinking of ...

Re: I am so annoyed!!

GOOD NEWS...........The RSPCA are going to do Bella's teeth, their vet said she will need extractions & will clean her teeth at the same time. I am really pleased. It will be done next week sometime.

Re: I am so annoyed!!

Ruth, That is what I am hoping can be done, I don't want her under 2 GA's in a short time for something that can be done at the same time. Not good for a young or old animal.
I gave her half a small tin of tuna in spring water this morning, wow, she loved it.

Re: I am so annoyed!!

I have emailed the RSPCA this morning to ask about the dental, I went out after lunch & when I got back I had had 3 missed calls on my mobile, (I forgot to take it) & 2 emails from rspca, they have apologised for her not having a medical check & asked me to go in next Tuesday to see the ...

Re: I am so annoyed!!

I have been ringing round the other vets in the town as a friend told me the vets I went to are very expensive, one I spoke to said a normal dental would be £154.00, quite a big difference to £500+, I have booked an appointment there for next Wednesday........so I hope for some better news re the pr...

I am so annoyed!!

I took Bella to my vet's this afternoon for her second vaccinations, Paula, (vet) checked her over said she was fine but her teeth were awful, they need to be cleaned but also she might have to take some out. Paula also thinks she could be as old as 12, just because of the state her teeth are in, bu...

Re: Can I have some advice please?

Yes the bedroom door is open in the day, only close it when we go to bed. She sleeps on the bed next to me, she is very fussy, loves a tickle under her chin & behind her ears, but doesn't seem to like being picked up, although I did pick her up & showed her out of the window, she was very in...

Can I have some advice please?

I just want to know what I should do for Bella.....it is 2 weeks today since we got Bella, she has been upstairs in the bedroom ever since, my instinct is to leave her till she is ready to come out & down stairs on her own, but someone told me to bring her down, feed her down stairs........so wh...

Making progress, I think.

I think we are making some progress with Bella, she still stays all the time upstairs but is now looking at the other bedrooms & sitting on the landing, I go up to sit with her several times a day, make a fuss of her & groom her, which she seems to like for a short time. She is eating very w...

Re: What should she weigh?

She is long furred, her ribs are not prominent but I can feel her spine, not very prominent but it can be felt. I have got to take her to the vet for her second vacs but that is not for another 2 weeks, I am not sure how much to feed her as she is a small cat, it wont be what it says on the bag of d...

What should she weigh?

I know this isn't easy but Bella is quite a small cat, she is 3 years old, about 12/14 inches long, about 9/10 inches tall, can anyone tell me how much she should weigh please.......she does not like being picked up at the moment, so I can't weigh myself then with her as I don't want to scare her. Re: Hi I am new here.

Oh I didn't know plastic was not good, what is wrong with it? Just typical isn't it, I have got 3 plastic bowls for her. Are they dangerous ? She seems to of taken up residence in the bedroom, should I leave her there or bring her down, I am, at the moment, feeding her upstairs & she has a litte...

Re: Hi I am new here.

Well we had a very good night, she slept in my room partly on my sheepskin rug & partly on my bed, she ate some more dry food, used the litter tray, she has been upstairs all day, hasn't come down at all but did have a big fright......the window cleaner came, she fled under the chest of drawers,...

Re: Hi I am new here.

We just had a little accident..........I carried her to the litter tray, put her down & she did a huge wee on the floor, I am sure she must be frightened, she hasn't moved from my side since we got home. I think I will take the litter tray up to the bedroom over night for a while till she has se...

Re: Hi I am new here.

Well I got her home fine, they had groomed her, so no knots, she is very fussy, loves to be stroked & head butts my hand to get more fuss. She has eaten a little bit of Burns dry food. I took her into the kitchen to show her the litter tray but she was very frightened so I brought her back in th...

Re: Hi I am new here.

Well thank you for the replies, I think they must of groomed her at some point as she was a stray, she could of been in a much worse state than she was when I saw her on Thursday, she only came up for rehoming while we were there. I found a couple of small knots behind her ears, but her coat looks v...
