Re: Bobby update
At Bob's latest check-up (yesterday) the wound on his shoulder is all but closed and the other one is smaller -Great :) We are going away for a couple of days. So mum will be looking after kitties. The vet has offered to board Bobby - which will take the pressure off mum. So he is off on his holiday...

Re: Diversionary Tactics - Back of the neck drops
How do they do that - Radar? I thought I had problems! Only Bobby makes no fuss about drops - he even takes his medicine. Thomas jumps and Purdy and Grace chatter and growl. But if I am quick and firm about it it's OK. But Willow is another story. She gets ear mites as well. I'm afraid the only way ...

Just heard from friends. They are in the middle of a family crisis - Brother-in- Law died leaving chaos in his wake. Very sorry can't help.
Wish there was something I could do to help. Let me know how you go on.

Hi Dani
so sorry to hear of your situation. I have friends in Wisbech, I could ask them if they know anyone who could help. It's not that far from you. Just say the word.
I hope you find a new home for yourself and kitties very soon.

Re: HOW CAN I TEACH BARNEY TO TOILET OUTDOORS ?!!
My first cat, Willow (the princess) is 11. She, like all the others, has the run of our large garden and the wilds of rural Fermanagh beyond. She goes out, has a toddle around, then comes in to use the litter tray - she always has! How much of a gardener are you? I will tell you a sure-fire w...

Re: Cat Posters vs Busy Body
What an incredibly mean-spirited thing to do! Honestly some people! I agree with what the other 'Chatters' are saying and I think Samantha's idea is a very good one. Around here you will see this sort of notice in the Post Office, Newsagents, Vets and local shops. Most of these premises have...

No, not depressing Kitty Witty, just sad. Makes me realise how lucky I've been. As for pets - I had 2 goldfish, Ebb and Flo. Or should I say the same Ebb and 5 Flo's. I'm told Ebb survived porridge and having his bowl 'cleaned' with washing powder while he was still in it! I also had a ...

Another visit to the vet today. The last 2 stitches out but the 2 remaining 'holes' still not closing - drat, drat and double drat! :x Having said that, Aoife, (I think that's spelt right - 'eefa') the vet is very pleased with him and says considering he is FIV and has had major surgery, he is doing...

Re: 1year old Kitten wants to move in with the neighbours HE
He sounds adorable and if he popped into our garden I would make a fuss of him too! It is understandable that you feel the way you do. But are you being too hard on the neighbours? I have mentioned this before on CC, but some years ago I lived at the end of a cul de sac. Our next-door-but-one neighb...

Cats, like us humans, are all different. Are you watching what she is eating? Is she finishing off another cat's tea? She sounds like our Gracie, a lazy bones who likes her food! She too has a thick, healthy coat. Another one of ours, Purdy, is very slim and active and a menace to the local wildlife...

Booktigger is right. Our Gracie got a whack on the bum that turned into an abscess. She is such a fatty we didn't see it until it was quite big. She too was very poorly. We had it lanced and she was given abs. She is fine now. But I think we only just caught it in time. I would say get it sorted ASAP.

Re: Warning about Morrisons own brand Cat Tunnel with dangle
Makes you go cold just thinking about it! I know some toys say not to let your cat play with them unsupervised, but you would not imagine they could be so dangerous. It is a lesson to us all.
Hugs to you and fusses to kitties.

An update on the update...
Bob continues to improve. He had several stitches out yesterday. But the area over his shoulder blade has not yet closed properly. Probably something to do with him bouncing around like a mad thing! Still wearing his bandage -blue this time.

Bobby update
To all the kind folks asking after Bob - he had a dressing change this morning and the wound was dry and a lot cleaner. The vet was pleased with him and I was cock-a-hoop! He has also put on a little weight. His new dressing is yellow, he looks like he is in the Tour de France! He is fast asleep on ...

Mmm, that's quite a problem! I've never had much luck with the RSPCA. Can your local Cats Protection help?
It sounds like something needs to be done for the poor little fella. I wish I could be of more help. Let us know how you go on.
We could always hope they move house and leave him behind.

I think Kay is right. The cat is probably used to your garden anyway. So if he is use to doing so and your new neighbours don't mind him popping back there should not be a problem. Feeding him in your house asap is a good idea. Some years back we lived at the end of a cul-de-sac. Our next door but o...
