Re: 50 pouches for £5 in Asda
That's odd, as I am certain it is the same food. You can tell by the silver pouches with the dot-matrix printing on. The only thing that seems to vary from shop to shop is the flavours. Morrison's sell it under the Pascoe's brand.

I'm not having the robot thing, but for the last couple of days, despite clicking on 'remember me', I have to log in each time.

Re: 50 pouches for £5 in Asda
No idea what day the offers change. Asda is a trip for me, as there isn't one nearby. I usually do Lidl and Asda on the same day, although now we have a local Aldi, I don't do it that often. 10p a pouch has to be the best ever deal though. It is the same food that I pay £2.59 for 12 pouches for in t...

50 pouches for £5 in Asda
Tiger bumper box of 50 pouches, mixed gravy and jelly - cereal free. It is the same food that Sainsbury's, Tesco. Co-op and Morrisons sell as own brand 10p a pouch. I can't find it on their website. Hopefully this is accurate http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/asda-compare-prices/Cat_Food/ASDA_Tiger_Bum...

Re: Indorex flea spray?
Sorry, forgot to say in my previous post, that both times I used Indorex. From what I understand, Indorex has some kind of growth inhibitor in it, that prevents eggs from hatching. Some flea sprays will kill live fleas, but don't prevent eggs from hatching, so you can end up with fleas again days or...

Re: Indorex flea spray?
I have onky used Flea spray twice. Once was in the early 90s, when I didn't have pets, but was being bitten by fleas left behind from a previous tenant's cat. The other time was when we bought this house 13 years ago - similar situation, where the house was infested by fleas left by the previous own...

Re: 3kg Purina One on offer @ £6.99 again at Zooplus
I saw that. Shame it doesn't include the sensitive version this time. I am down to my last 3 bags from the last time it was on offer. btw - for anyone that doesn't know, although advertised as 3kg, Zooplus always supply it as 2 x 1.5kg bags - odd that 1.5kg bags aren't sold in the UK (although we pa...

Re: Looking for a similar food to Zooplus Purizon
I remember this morning that when we first took Kasper in, there was a bag of PAH 'Seriously Good' ocean fish and he loved it. I also like that it isn't really high in fish - 33% chicken meat meal, 10% white fish + some salmon meals and other poultry - only £6.99 for 3.2kg :D - anyway, his head was ...

Re: Looking for a similar food to Zooplus Purizon
Thanks. I bought some Applaws last year and none of them would touch it. Our local garden centre sells Meowing heads, so will try a small bag from there.

Looking for a similar food to Zooplus Purizon
It is grain free and 70% meat and/or fish. Partly because I rarely need to order litter now, as the cats all go outside (despite having trays indoors) and I still have lots of Purina One sensitive left. Kasper really has a thing for Purizon and we are almost out. I would rather not have to make up a...

I asked if it was the black and white, as it looks tiny, but it is the tabby, so seems to be doing well.

Re: Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with kitten flat chest syndrome?
Thanks everyone. I will pass the info onto Stacey. I don't think major surgery would be an option, so hopefully the bottle feeding will do the trick. I haven't seen the kitten as we live about 60 miles apart.

Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with kitten flat chest syndrome?
A relative contacted me to ask if I knew anything about it, but I had never heard of it. The kitten is 2 weeks old. She took it to the PDSA yesterday. They said there is nothing they can do. They have shown her how to bottle-feed, which apparently can help, although they have told her that if he det...

It is on offer for £4 a box in The Co-op. There is a free pouch of gourmet soup in each box + a £1 off voucher, which can be used on any Gourmet multipack. Not sure when it ends. I will check.

Kay has reminded me about another thing - using the right type of scoop with a finer mesh http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/cat_litter_litter_boxes/deo_accessoires/litter_box_scoops/98036 Maybe I have just been lucky, but I've never had a problem with tracking with this http://www.zooplus.co.uk/sho...

Re: Cat litter
I tried every kind going, but have found Sanicat professional clumping gold the best. It doesn't seem to track and it clumps brilliantly. It seems to last for ages. Annoyingly, none of the cats are using trays now and all choosing to go outside. For the mostpart, not in our own garden.I just hope the...

Re: Totally non-toxic wood treatment
Will report back. Might take a while, as I need to jet wash the deck first. Obviously I will only be able to comment on how easy it is to apply and dry + what it looks like afterwards. I suppose only time will tell how effective it is. Someone on Purrs suggested this. It also seems OK, but mentions ...

Totally non-toxic wood treatment
We had a deck put in a couple of years ago. I bought some Cuprinol at the time, but have been too nervous about using it because of the cats. I came across this stuff. Apparently you mix it with water, so very easy and quick to do and it dries in no time, but preserves wood 'for a lifetime' there are...

Re: I love Zooplus latest email
She was lovely. When my mum first got her, she was a tiny kitten. She slept on my pillow. After I left home again, whenever I visited, she would head straight upstairs and jump onto my old bed. I would kneel on the floor and she would rub faces with me for ages, purring. It was so sad that she went ...

 Ria It was so sad. She suddenly went blind at around 6 months. When my mum first got her,I had moved home for a while. I moved out again and one day when I was visiting, my mum mentioned that she was clumsy and kept walking into things. I asked if she had seen a vet about it and she said Sukie...

Yes Kay. I don't have a record player now, but still have a record with chew marks on the cover, that my mum's cat Sukie got hold of in the 80s - she was blind, but she found cardboard quite easily

Re: Tea Tree Oil!!
I don't know the science behind it, but there are a few oils that are toxic to cats for the same reason - possibly phenols, which are found in some disinfectants that cats are unable to break down. I remember there was a case of a woman whose cat died due to her liberal use of Dettol clear kitchen s...

Will will definitely order more next week if the offer is still on. I have a 'lesson learned' to remind me. Around xmas time, Sainsbury's and Waitrose have Lavazza coffee twinpacks with 50% extra free (so a triple pack for the price of a twin pack) at the time, I bought 10 of them and topped up with...
