Re: Territorial cat - spraying at front door
Hi Kitty Witty, Here is something I downloaded for you (and anyone else with this problem) Has your schedule and therefore his routine changed drastically? Are you "seeing another cat" outside your home and bringing back its scent on your clothing? Moving into a new home or changes in the ...

Oh Mairi...I am so sorry about your lovely Luna. I know exactly how you and your family must be feeling now. The pain is horrific and you think that no one could ever have felt grief like this. Nothing anyone can say can ease the ache in your heart right now, I know. But be assured, it 'will' get be...

Re: sick old blind bestfriend
Sometimes, our little friends become confused when they are in their twilight years, just like some humans, and they wake in the night and don't know where they are. Bailey is looking for you I think, and calling out in his confusion. I had a cat who, when she was a senior citizen, would wake in the...

I will let you know how she gets on.

and her refusal to eat from her dish when it's on the floor. I know she is missing her dead sister (See 'Strange Behaviour of Bereaved Cat) Often, and with soft words and strokes, she will eat a little of her food when her dish is placed on the floor and next to her brothers. But just as often, she ...

Re: Dirty Stop Out Cat - please advise
Cats are a worry at times, aren't they? Especially when they stay out all night and refuse to come in. However, perhaps he just loves the warmer, shorter nights of summer. I know my nieces boy, Louie likes to stay out at night in summer. This used to worry us a bit, but, since she moved to a new hou...

Re: Taking a new outdoor cat
I had two indoor/outdoor cats who were shut in at night, who lived to be eighteen and a half years old. I don't like the idea of a cat being kept in and prefer it to be able to choose. I remember my late mum taking in a stray cat after her boy was PTS, and she tried to keep him indoors. But he howle...

Just to let you know, I have ordered some Zyklene (I think that's what it's called) for Banshee and possibly the stray I am adopting. I'd never heard of it until I joined CC. It has good reviews on Amazon so we shall see.

Re: Grumpy Cat
Hi Lulu, I think perhaps your little fella is stressed with the move and finding himself in a bigger environment. Also, even the friendliest cats can exhibit hostile behaviour towards each other after a move or other changes. It's all the strange new smells on the other cats which upsets them. When ...

Re: Strange behaviour of bereaved cat.
Thank you, Bobby's Girl and Mr Frisky, for your replies and advice. :) Yes, it is heartbreaking to see Banshee looking for Stormy and crying for her. It's one of the worst things in a multi-cat household when one of them dies. Louie, the boy is being very manly and stiff-upper-whiskery :) but I thin...

Re: Millie and her digestive system again
I think you should ask the vet to carry out blood tests on your little one to rule out possible kidney problems, especially if vomiting a lot. Is she drinking more than usual...and how is she after a bout of vomiting? Is she lethargic for a day or two? Hope you find out what is wrong with Millie soo...

Strange behaviour of bereaved cat.
Hello...I am new to this site and happy to be amongst other cat lovers. But I need some advice please. My niece had three cats, two females and one male. Sadly, one of the girls was knocked down and killed two weeks ago. We were all (and still are) utterly devastated as it was such a shock. However,...
