Re: Mike and mothers from previous website

It's so hard to move on, isn't it? You'll miss Sooty forever, but as you know it gets easier as time passes. I think most of us have moved over - I find this forum very different and I'm not checking in so often - I think because I get one notification per day instead of dozens, so it's not in my f...

Re: Peaches hurt

What a lucky girl! I've been through this myself, but unfortunately Lily was much more seriously injured. Are you going to try to keep Peaches in once she recovers, or is that an impossible ask? I freaked after Lily was hurt and just couldn't risk it again - I lived in the city then and had my balc...

Re: Importance Of Safety Collars

My sister who lives in Queensland has two indoor/outdoor cats. 12 - 18 months ago I bought Summer and my sister's cats reflective safety collars through Marla. Summer is still wearing her original, as both times she's "lost" it I've found it, as she doesn't wander far. Both of my sister's...

Re: River and Doctor

They aren't kittens for very long, are they? I've never heard of a cat who gets in the bath before - if I tried doing that I'd get scratched to pieces. It sounds like you are definitely mum and having fun with your babies. There is a thread called something like "cat photos" if you can fi...

Re: Fighting after house move

It's me that's sorry! I must have had a senior moment, thinking of another post I'd read. Yes, discouraging the outdoor cat is sure to help - especially if he or she is not neutered and/or spraying out there.

Re: cat agression after cats son dissapeared and returned

Has the situation calmed down Jay? Poor cats. The "scared" Charlie would be a cat that Pheeby doesn't recognise, plus any strange smells wouldn't help. His trip to the vet to be neutered won't help anything, as there's often aggression when you bring a cat come from the vet. But of course...

Very handsome boy Claire - I always say I love blackies best - but I think the truth is that I'm totally colourblind when it comes to cats and I want them all!

Re: Fighting after house move

This is similar to a situation I heard about on the TV show "My Cat from Hell". I'd say that Flo has interpreted this particular hiss as being at himself, rather than the outdoor cat, and he's no longer seeing Cas as Cas, but as some strange cat who's in his house. When this type of thing...

Re: The Pics thread!

Oh Lyn, what beautiful cats! Rose reminds me of my beautiful Lou, who went to the bridge over two years ago (although feels like yesterday). I've posted her photo, together with a photo of my handsome man, Scholes. He's attempting a disguise, but I'd recognise those pink paws anywhere! Rose and Lou...

Re: The Pics thread!

Beautiful cats Lyn. How many do you have? Nine Simon - there is also Mischa, a long haired dark tortie, and Jagger, a black and white Sphynx. I've been accused of being an animal hoarder, but negating that accusation is the fact that my cats are all regularly flea-d, wormed, fed a mixture of top qu...

Re: The Pics thread!

My cats nearly always look away from me when I point a camera at them. Thank heavens for digital cameras and smart phones!! They are gorgeous and obviously very well looked after cats. Here is some of my family. Unfortunately, some of the photos in the file were too big to post. So in particular th...

Re: Cn any one help a vet nurse

If money isn't a huge issue, how about checking out catteries near where you'll be living? Most good ones have indoor/outdoor accommodation and you'd be able to visit your puss as often as you like I would imagine, plus in a reputable cattery the owners/staff would usually play with the cats and sp...

Hello and thanks. Yes I am taking antihistamine and washing my hands. Where can I buy this "petal Cleanse"? I just can't understand why this one cat is causing this when no other cat ever has. Hi Carol, I don't know if this will be applicable to you, but I found that I am much more allerg...

Re: Probably sounds really silly but.........

This type of thing rarely happens to me any more, now that I don't live near family, but I miss my puds even if I'm out for half a day of shopping or running errands, and I well remember the guilt of being away from home for long periods of time. I've always felt that my cats almost go into a state...

I just realised that this forum is back to front, or maybe the old forum was back to front - I went to the top to look for the latest post, but the latest post is at the bottom - which actually makes more sense but it's amazing what you get used to. We don't get "credit" for our previous ...
