Re: Ooooops ...... one more foster!
I have also loved this thread :D We all feel like we've come to know this little guy. Not so little now though!! Can't believe it's been six months. He looks so calm and settled in that pic as if he's always lived with you. Well done Helen. And thanks for letting us share this experience. Lots of fu...

Re: Fred's Greebo ...... or Greebo's fred ......
Awww Helen!!! That's wonderful news. How lovely that he checked to make sure his very own bed was still there. Then came for a fuss to say thanks. What a soft hearted little boy he is. He knows he's loved and being looked after, something he's never had before. What a heart warming story :D . Give h...

Re: Pre-test before FeLV vaccine
Glad she found somewhere to settle even though it wasn't the comfiest of places :D . Yes it sounds unlikely then that she's had a bite. She should be fine. We need more pics when she's a little more recovered. We don't want to miss out on her growing up!! Thanks for asking after Fluffy. Her appetite...

Re: Pre-test before FeLV vaccine
Great news that Ingrid is negative for FeLV. What a relief!! I have mixed feelings about testing for FIV. In a way I would rather have not known that Harvey was positive. However, having that knowledge does have it's advantages. For instance if you suspect they are coming down with something then yo...

Re: BARNEYS ILL WITH BLADDER PROBLE YET AGAIN.....SO ANNOYED
Barney is totally intolerant to anything even remotely flavoured with fish, so it has to be chicken only and absolutely NO dried food at all. I think though, I may need to make a mention of his dietary problems with our lovely neighbour, who has 3 cats, as I noticed when she gave them a call yester...

What a worry for you Mark. Hope the Nature's Menu treats work. Do the tablets have to be given in exactly half tablet doses? Could they be cut in to smaller ones or would they not be as effective then?

Re: Trying to tempt Fluffy to eat
Can i just add, what a tidy cat food cupboard you have there Carol, only time mine is that organised is when gas boiler service is due, . :D I have to confess that I'd just tidied it and sorted it out before I took the photo. It was getting really out of hand and completely unmanageable. I co...

Re: Chasing bunnies
Reading these I'm relieved that Fluffy no longer hunts. When she's feeling well and it's good weather she might half heartedly stalk a wood pigeon. Always goes for the birds that are practically as big as her. Helen from what I've read, rabbit is supposed to be one of the best raw foods for cats. Da...

Re: Trying to tempt Fluffy to eat
Thanks again for your kind thoughts and support Xx I think we're getting there. I've now got a good variety of most brands to ...

Re: BARNEYS ILL WITH BLADDER PROBLE YET AGAIN.....SO ANNOYED
How frustrating for you Julie. It's unsettling to say the least when you don't have confidence in your vet. I think that Jan's suggestion of getting Barney some Zylkene to help reduce stress is a good idea. I might get some for Fluffy. I know that cystitis can be stress related in the first place bu...

Re: Struggling to pill Kylie with Metronidazole
Really sorry to hear about this Mark. What a worry for you. I don't have much to suggest as I rely totally on webbox for pilling Fluffy. If she went off it as your Kylie has then that would be it as far as pilling is concerned. However I've found the Nature's Menu treats to be slightly more tempting...

Re: Trying to tempt Fluffy to eat
Thanks Sarah. I know that Fluffy has liked liver in the past. She once helped herself to some off my plate!! In her food cupboard, amongst the stacks of rejected food, she has some tins of Ziwipeak which has a high organ content. The last time she had some she was sick though. I will have a think ab...

Re: Trying to tempt Fluffy to eat
Helen she's not done quite as well today with her food as yesterday. In herself she doesn't seem too bad. Her favourite is still the Thrive Chicken so far although I have to handfeed it most of the time. She's more vocal today and "chatty" which is always a good sign with her. The main thi...

Re: BARNEYS ILL WITH BLADDER PROBLE YET AGAIN.....SO MISERAB
Great news Julie that the little boy is feeling much better :) I was thinking about the urinary food you give him. Is it dried? Does it contain cereals? The website that Marla mentioned (catinfo.org) strongly advises against both for urinary problems. I'm not sure how much you give Barney or whether...
