Re: Jealous resident cat
Thanks Kay for your understanding I loved Lily so much. The difference with Dexy and Lily was she is very affectionate he doesn't even let you pet him, Although he sits at my sons bedroom door when he comes home from school and does not move until my son goes to bed then Dexy goes to his bed. I just...

Jealous resident cat
Hi everyone.I have been letting you all know about my new wee friend Lily who I had rehomed 9 weeks ago.Introduction was gradual and they got on as good as expected. Re: Scratching the walls
Does your cat have a climbing frame. That can be entertaining. I also purchased a catit design senses play circuit from petplanet which are on sale just now. My cat plays with it constantly. The sensit system can be connected so you can add whatever parts you want to.

Re: Scratching the walls
I agree Crewella my cat loves cardboard boxes. It seemed to be the only time the two of them really get angry and hissing and claws out. So I got them one each and they fight over the same one.Lol. The wee one goes in and tries to pull the sides shut. Funny. Or one is in and the other on top and the...

Re: Scratching the walls
My cat doesn't play with any toys either. Never has and I have had him from 10 months. Plays with laces when I hold them up and swing them round. Of course that's not good when your sleeping. My other cat started scratching my New wallpaper last week but only one area so I have had to put airer in f...

Re: Introducing shy rescue cat
What I have been doing now is putting the shoelaces through the tunnel of the cat scratcher then slide the lace under the door then close door and pull laces which pulls the scratcher over the bit she keeps clawing. Its one of those scratchers from Pets at home that is the shape of a referees whistl...

Re: Introducing shy rescue cat
Lol wallpaper stripping. Lily keeps pulling at the carpet at the door when in living room at night. If I trim it anymore I will have a baldy bit. Any ideas that have been tried, tested and worked Lilith?

Re: Introducing shy rescue cat
My latest addition meows loudly at all times of the day just for the sake of it. She has the whole house to herself so no reason to meow says me. Lily and resident cat Dexy have been in the livingroom at night now for nearly 2 weeks and I never hear them. Although I miss her snuggling in with me at ...

Re: Rehomed a rescue cat
I rehomed a cat 8 weeks ago but I had kept them in separate rooms for the first week and introduced them slowly. Was some hissing at first but not too bad. Now they chase each other up and down the house. They eat from each others bowls and use both litter trays. All in all I am glad I got another c...

Re: New kitty help
Hi, my partner got a 4 week old kitten who never used the litter tray for first week because she was took away from her mother too early. She would hiss, scratch you and bite you and attack your feet when you walked past. Sometimes even when you were just sitting doing nothing. She was only playing ...

Re: Felix pouches 2 boxes for £4 in Morrison's until 29/11
Yes you are right I have checked their website. I usually buy mines for £12 for 44 pouches from Poundstretchers but it is only fish selection in jelly. At least this way you are getting 48 pouches for £10 and you can get different flavours in gravy or jelly. Thanks for pointing it out I wouldn't hav...

Re: Update on sleeping together in same room.
Thanks Liloth you are so right if she was trying to avoid him then I would have something to worry about. I wish I was as wise as you when it comes to cats. I have a cat climbing frame that she loves and Dexy has never went on it so I was thinking of wall shelves which I was going to put up in my di...

Re: Update on sleeping together in same room.
Its nothing like the video. He just creeps up behind her and grabs her back end with his paws and bites her bum then spits her fur out. He did it again tonight and she cried a wee bit. Just getting the feeling he is starting to resent her being here. He gets as much attention as her so it cant be him...

Update on sleeping together in same room.
Hi everyone it has been over a week now that my cats are sharing the living room and I have not heard any squawking. I leave their last feed until I am going to bed and that way they are eating when I say goodnight and close the door. I think this has helped as I leave two contented cats just fed. T...

Lovely story. It shows they really care (sometimes). I have had my new cat for 5 weeks now and she loves getting brushed. She sits on my lap and purrs away. My older cat hated getting brushed, but since I have been brushing her he stands still so I can brush him. She wont use her bed (prefers the co...
