Re: Here we go again ,,,,
Hi Jan Yes, we were told that Barney was a 'difficult cat' too !....I only hope he hasn't started another bout of cystitis yet again, I can't think of any changes I have made, except I gave him a little Hi Life chicken food this morning with his Butchers..... I have posted the link below which just ...

Re: Here we go again ,,,,
Hi Mrs Kane That would be brilliant if you possibly could, I would be most grateful, just let me know in September how much I owe you, that would be really helpful. Thank you so much for your kind offer, it really is very much appreciated...as I left for work this morning it looked as though Barney ...

Re: Here we go again ,,,,
Hi Jan Please don't think that you aren't looking after Blackie properly, I have the same issues with Barney, at the moment, he is 'ok' but the last few weeks it has been taking him ages to pee normally, though he doesn't seem in pain and to all intents and purposes appears happy, we still live with...

Re: Did i do the right thing?
Hi Nicola First of all, so sorry to hear about Puzzle, bless you for taking such good care of her.. You completely did the right thing, I also lost my lovely boy, 'CC' to oral cancer less than 2 years ago, his tumour was on his tongue and grew very fast, very quickly, to the point he could not eat, ...

Re: Little Fluffy has gone to sleep
What a lovely picture Carol...it so sums up HRHFluffy at her best.... I totally understand how you feel about the worry that Fluffy struggled to the end, CC howled all the way to the vet on his final journey and the guilt tore me apart for a long time, he too struggled to the end and I felt that he ...

Re: Blackie in trouble again with his bladder
Hi Jan Sounds like Blackie is quite at home !! Pleased to hear he settled so well. I bought some Dorwest Valerian drops, which I pop in his food, its dark brown and a bit pongy, but he seems unaware. I also put some where he sleeps and between his ears now and then, it does appear to relax him a lit...

Re: Blackie in trouble again with his bladder
Jan I so feel for you, I really do...we get the same issues with Barney, currently I have a Pet Remedy plug in and some Valerian drops which I drop into his food and onto his chair he sits in outside. It seems to have calmed him down a little, as his flare ups have been much shorter, though I may we...

Re: Blackie in trouble again with his bladder
Hi Jan I can so sympathise with you, as Barney has this same problem on and off a lot of the time.. I also could not get a sample from him in this way, when I took him to the vet, the vet managed to take a sample by manually pressing his bladder, he then flooded the table and sample tray !..I ...

Hi Meriad Thank you for that. Our garden is not officially cat proofed, though we have 6 foot fencing all of the way around. Barney very, very rarely leaves the garden, he sits either in the greenhouse, or on his reclining chair in the garden !! (used to be ours !)....however, my oh has discovered w...

Next doors young tabby came into the garden, thankfully, right at the bottom of the garden ne...

Hi everyone Thank you so much for your input, I have rescue remedy and the pet calming plug in on order now, so should be with us in the next few days. Since starting the regime of leaving the patio door slightly ajar at night to allow him outdoor access, he has been much calmer and happier and all ...

Hi everyone, Thank you all so much for your responses, I really do appreciate all of your support with this, bless you. Thank you both.....Barney has had no difference at all in his day to day life....I honestly beileve that he may have kidney stones or similar, he has no skin complaint at all, without a bladder scan I can not work it out, but it is only my own vet who believes he needs one, which is frustrating....t...
