Re: Re-home male grey part rag doll cat born 2007

Have they tried multiple litter trays? Some cats like to wee and poo in different trays, sometimes in different types of cat litter.

Are they 100% sure it's poo as sometimes hairballs can look like poo.

A word of warning, ID barrels tend to unscrew and lose the details inside. An ID tag or personalised cat collar is better.

Re: Do cats have off days?

Does your kitty ever get hairballs? With most cats, a change in behaviour and/or not eating indicates that something is wrong and we would always take them to the vet ASAP. However, one of our cats is long-haired and gets hairballs occasionally. He loves his food so if he looks a bit down and doesn'...

Re: Someone please help - Cat Diarrhoea Probelms

HPotter, I understand when you say you're at your wits end as we've been there a few times with our cats! You mentioned that they had a clostridium overgrowth. Have they been retested and is that gone now? If they still have it, you might look into using olive leaf extract which is naturally antibac...

Re: How to get very unwell cat to eat ? Help please ? x

What an angel you are to look after this colony! I'm on the IOW and am disappointed to hear that the second charity you mentioned wasn't willing to help as I've seen them run appeals for dogs' vets bills. Did you speak with the top lady? If the tablets the vet gave you happen to be Synulox, maybe Ha...

We have two 18 year old cats with arthritis (among other things) and have found Yumove Advance for Cats to be beneficial. If I remember correctly, we saw an improvement within a week or two.

I agree with the previous comment that if she is in by the radiator when it's cold, then an outdoor home wouldn't be the best setting for her. Most cats have the hunting instinct. We adopted 2 kittens. By the age of 6 months, one had decided that she preferred home comforts and the other had turned ...

Re: Stray Cats in Cambridge UK

Thank you for looking out for this kitty. Getting him checked for a microchip is a very good idea, but if he's not chipped don't leave him at the vets because it has been known for a certain large charity to pay vets to put stray cats down. Tell the vet that he's on Woodgreen's waiting list and that...

This looks like our neutered male who still has little pompoms like that. Your vet should be able to tell you for sure. If he's not neutered, you may be able to get cheap or free neutering from a local animal rescue.

Re: Indoor kitten wanted as companion

How lovely that you're planning to adopt a playmate for Crispin! :) Where are you based? There are a few rescues that will home specific cats (for example, nervous or deaf cats) to indoor homes. If it were me, I'd get an adult cat roughly the same age as Crispin that prefers living indoors or has to...

Be really careful who you let look after your cat.
