Re: Young kitten nursing on arm

Cowboy did this when I brought him home. The dog was the most bothered, he didn't want to be this kittens' mother. reminded me of that book, Are You My Mother?
Cowboy grew out of it.

Re: Opinions on Purina Pro Plan?

My cats eat the kibbles and don't feel they are fed without it. Someone on another site seem to think that is REAL bad. Maybe. BUT it is better than nothing. Besides I tested my cats. What is in grain free. Rice, oatmeal, potatoes. They don't eat any of those. But they do eat popcorn. So I think for...

I used a wheel barrel to bring a log home and stood it up in my cats screened in porch. They use that and a smaller log that is laying down.

litter problems- lets talk

I have one cat that has this problem. He was a farm kitten that his mother never taught him litterbox. Just pick a spot and go as you walk. The best thing I did besides changing to all types of litters is using a cardboard box put his used newspapers in it with only three sides to it. So he can walk...

Re: cat words

Good you guys notice the bond as well. How reassuing. 8-) Noises or not, its all just noise if you think about it. My cats listen and take what I say to heart. More than any of my human aquantances do. The dogs do less. Although dog people beg to differ. Once you know cat, you find they listen and h...

cat words

Okey. You may view me as nuts here, and all the friends I made will slowly fade away. BUT I noticed when I say the word, now and hang on the last siluable. The cats perk up like I just said something important. What, I am not sure. Also when say yeah. And say it in a cheerful question. They come run...

Re: Metronidazole

Jill, that's such good advice, about not insisting her has the full dose. If he has something rather than nothing that's good. Edgar has gingivitis from his years as a stray and a certain amount of overlooking of things when he was in rescue. He had 12 teeth out in March and we are trying to contai...

it doesn't matter how many times you do this, it never gets any easier. Each one is one more soul leaving you. All you can do is make them as comfortable as possible. Have some joy in their lives. I worked so hard her final years to wait on her, it feels like I have nothing to do now.

It is tough having a sickly cat in the house. Mine are at different stages. Peanut still doesn't eat the amount a normal cat does. I let him decide. He is three years old now He is the one who started this research. I saved his life doing this Interenet search and one old country vet advise. As a ki...
