Re: my cat died today, it was my fault

That loss was so sudden for you. Like she was yanked from your arms. My sister has one those animal distorying roads by her house too. I can't pretend to know what went on in Tilly's mind at the time. But I do know she doesn't blame you or mad at you. The guilt of you making this mistake will eat yo...

Re: Are cats responsible for 99% of illiteracy?

My Peanut, when it is computer time is first on the chair. He has that backwards. He sits on my lap. I out weight him. But he thinks he is mighty and powerful. He loves his computer time. Willie use to. He is too old these days to argue with Peanut. With eight cats there are always someone on my lap...

Re: My cat has gone backwards in confidence :-(

I had many skiddish cats. I kept talking to them. Made friends. And let them decide if they liked hugging, just pet the body and/or love me all over. They are like people or a little kid. Build them up to be the people they are ment to be. Not what you think they should be. My Mittens is my hider. B...

Scares you and you start to question if you are a desent cat person. I was hoping going along with nature was the right thing. I guess it is. I am not too good at seeing my friends suffer. Tricky to bring pleasure to your old friends decaying being. My cats enjoy baby food too. No cat vitumans in th...

Re: old cats

For myself, I fed my old cat Meuzette, kitten dry, O.N.E. I know, wet food is better. But I left the house for work and she hungry and skinny. I fed multiple degrees of food. I cooked baked chicken for her once a week. We had clicky fest.... I tried raw, but that was a no go. I fed what ever she wan...

Re: old cats

Personally, I have had sixteen cats in my lifetime. Or should I say my life has been enriched by sixteen cats. In any case, I started to wonder if it was something all cats do. Start losing mussle mass when they age? I am not sure how old they are when it starts? Maybe it is different with each cat....

Hummm, this brand of food isn't over here. But the first vet you explained about, that is the kind of vets we have over here. I know more than them...if I just had their equipment.. I could doctor my own. I do pretty much now. Cancer..well not much you can do. Make them comfortable and happy. That i...

old cats

Those of you who have the old cats, do your cats get thinner along the spine, as well? I have three geriatrics now. I just noticed my twelve year old received that old cat body look recently. I was just wondering if its my care or that is what everyone's cats does???

Re: How do you feel about declawing?

I have had fifteen cats in my adult life, I have eight now. When I first got into this kind of life. I was advised to have them declawed for it is less trouble later. Kind of like spaying or neutering. I was afraid of those claws...Now that i know better none of my cats at declawed today.

Re: Bit Worried my rescue cats still seem very nervous

I have eight cats right now and there are that many personalities. I tell non cat people they can't say they hate cats. They just haven't met the cat for them. Seven years ago, I adopted three kittens. One still hides. He comes out when he feels like a love session. Then goes back. I often think he ...

Re: A cat food conspiracy?

Yeah if you really don't feel like you can trust your vet then you're better off changing practices. You need a good relationship with your vet, especially as your cat is getting older, so it sounds like it's time to switch over. If you can't get a decent explanation out of your vet for why they're...

Re: A cat food conspiracy?

With my older cat I fed kitten dry. the kibbles are smaller. She had problems with her teeth and jaw. Since her passing we don't feed that. But I am thinking the cats did better on it. We have wet food here once a day. Just what ever they like that isn't fish or too much by products in it. Sometimes...

So sorry to hear your girl is in her last stages. Been there earilier this summer. Mine wasted away for three years and had runs. I didn't care. In feeding, what ever made her happy, she had. At this stage it really doesn't matter. Pleasure is what matters. Hers. In Meuzettes last days I let her hav...

My guys only like the beef in the Sheba and they seem to be trading that in for our things. I offer a variety and let them pick and choose. Having so many, there is always someone who doesn't like the food today. Then they get baby food. Here lately they are enjoying the Gramma Kitchen one. I was th...
