Re: Every single time I say something to a vet about my cats I end up being right (rant)

Thanks, dude :) I thought I was the only guy on this forum Well, Milla is back from the vet now and they gave her another IV and Ketonal, it's for making the temperature go down so once again she is perked up but as was the case earlier today it's just a temporary boost. She is really really not doi...

Re: Every single time I say something to a vet about my cats I end up being right (rant)

I'm literally going through hell right now and I can't think straight anymore Milla is not doing well, she is completely unresponsive and there is nothing even the vet can do except wait Why did I go through with this? I told you all that this would happen if I got her fixed, I told you. This is exa...

Re: Every single time I say something to a vet about my cats I end up being right (rant)

Sorry for posting so much but I do my best to keep it contained in one thread I took Milla to the vet and we're back home now She did have slightly increased temperature, 38.8C and apparently 38.5C is normal for cats, so after the IV she gave her two antibiotic shots. When I was about to pay once ag...

Re: Every single time I say something to a vet about my cats I end up being right (rant)

Know what? I'm just going to come out and say it, I don't think Milla is recovering the way she should I was expecting her to be back on her feet today but she seems slower today, she isn't as interested in food, she licked a bit of wet food but yesterday she ate, she licked a bit of water too but i...

Re: Every single time I say something to a vet about my cats I end up being right (rant)

Milla seems to be recovering well, her breathing is back to normal she ate a bit today, not much but ate well enough, went to the bathroom for #1 and #2 once but other than that she spends her time resting, Kala stopped being as worried but she is still attentive to her mom. When she walks Milla is ...

Re: Bookends!

My contribution - at least Badger and Tilly match in color, even though there wasn't any room left between them! They were 9 months old at the time and already nearly a yard long. Six months later they could each fill the landing without help from the other. You seriously own not one, but two maine...

Re: Every single time I say something to a vet about my cats I end up being right (rant)

It's done! Milla had her spaying surgery today and the vet said it went perfectly well. Her breathing was good enough for the surgery to be done. Milla is recovering now, unlike Anastasia who was out and about in an hour Milla is alert but won't mvoe much and has been staying in her carrier since we...

Re: Every single time I say something to a vet about my cats I end up being right (rant)

Because I knew I could provide her with the best possible home and she was adorable :) plus the health issues didn't show up until I brought her home, but she was active, playful and overall just fine so other than the upper respiratory infection nobody would admit to she was fine. Anyway, back from...

Re: Every single time I say something to a vet about my cats I end up being right (rant)

And here's why I love my vet so much even though I may disagree with her on some issues. She is one of the kindest people I know and just now she showed her kindness once again. A friend of mine cares for some stray cats and one of the kittens went blind overnight yet shows no signs of poisoning, il...

Re: Every single time I say something to a vet about my cats I end up being right (rant)

Thanks :) I remember when I first came to a vet with this problem the answer was "well it's no big deal, it's just something she carried form her mom" Now my question is - Why was Milla not vaccinated at 4 months of age when we got her - Why wasn't this sorted out before rehoming her? - Wh...

Re: Serious cockroach infestation in my building - I need help/info regarding poison

It's drastically reduced now but the "professionals" we seem to be hiring are only short term solutions. I think when I have less work since I work from home and I work 8-16 hours a day easily as an illustrator/graphics design, well when I have less work I figured I could go with that idea...

Every single time I say something to a vet about my cats I end up being right (rant)

You know how Milla had that upper respiratory infection since we got her? I kept telling vets to take care of it and that it would escalate to something worse, I got different responses ranging from how it would sort itself out to how it's just the way she breathes because she is a persian(as if I d...

Re: Do cats eat Hamsters?

I'm a little concerned about these hamsters that survive on insects, as someone who used to keep and on occasion breed and raise hamsters I know they require fresh veggies, fruit as well as grains, sunflower seeds and all sorts of stuff, they need fresh water (there is a belief in my country, or the...

Do your cats love watching TV? Kala sure does

Ever so often Milla sits down and watches TV too but it doesn't really last that long, but Kala can sit there for a good 5-10 minutes actively watching a screen, especially if what she is watching is also accompanied with sound If there's no change in the image she gets bored quickly but if there's ...

Re: Feeling depressed over my cats behaviour and need help

I read the OP twice and I can't help but feel like the initial behavior described is the same usual behavior I've experienced with pretty much all of my kittens, though yours does seem a tad amplified. I have yet to have a kitten who doesn't bite or claw at me in my sleep but they eventually grow ou...

like you have no idea how bad I am at lying :) plus my vet would probably know, she keeps track of all her patients and does regular check ups and everything.

Re: Milla developed a very strange behavior I'm not sure how to deal with

Called the vet today and she would rather wait for the heat to end completely before spaying, she says this happened because it's February which is the natural season for cat mating in our region so when we took her out she smelled all the toms and stuff and that triggered another heat. Having her s...

yay! Re: Milla developed a very strange behavior I'm not sure how to deal with

So it could be a form of heat then, but she is fine all day and at night stops when I pay attention to her, I just let her be last night to see how long she'd do it for, didn't talk to her or showed her I pay attention so she went on for about 25 minutes, but if I pay attention to her she stops. I'm...

Milla developed a very strange behavior I'm not sure how to deal with

She is doing great alright, or so it seems on the surface. All this started on Wednesday, the 17th after I took Milla and Kala for their shorts, after coming home she was fine but during the night it all went weird. I didn't think much of it but it'll been days and it's getting worse instead of bett...

Re: Milla had her kittens

These type of issues aren't related to your ISP in the slightest. Anything and everything that goes on in your system short of the connecting not working is not on their end. Pop up ads, viruses, malware/spyware that has nothing to do with the ISP and they can't really do anything to stop or prevent...

Re: Milla had her kittens

Well at least ads and pop ups can be easily removed nowadays with a few simple steps and it will make your browser much faster and much easier to use. I don't know the state your system is now if you haven't used the right ad blockers for a long time (I can imagine it being in a very very bad state)...

Re: Milla had her kittens

I think I may have an idea of what's causing Kala's black stool and it's probably just that since she is perfectly fine otherwise. Since Milla gave birth we've been giving her some minerals and vitamins the vet suggested, the minerals contain iron among other things. She likes them so she clearly ne...
