Let's hope it's just a winter bug, definitely visit the vets.
4 of our cats had cat flu when I was younger, and they were all fine.

Re: Pancreatitis - issues taking pills
Hi, sorry to hear Smudge has been poorly. One of my cats had pancreatitis during the summer. http://www.catchat.org/felineforum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=5064 I crushed the pills up with a hammer (in a handkerchief to stop the bits going everywhere) and sprinkled them on her dinner and she didn't see...

You could always try cat-proofing the garden, if practicable.

Re: I need some help with a few things...
A covered litter tray should certainly help with the litter scattering problem - he'd have quite a challenge trying to get his 'football' out through the opening! Some covered trays come with a door flap, which many cats don't like,(and can be removed if necessary), but if he would use one then the...

Re: Feeding times - I am really struggling now
My cats are fussy eaters, and like anything in gravy - the more runny the better. I get them sheba, also sometimes sheba sauce lover sachets, and a new Whiskas called 'soup', which they seem to like.
Maybe try one of these?

Re: Oucha - Endoscopy cost?
One of my sister's cats is with Petplan and they paid out (up to 8k for an endoscopy and even a CAT scan - make your own jokes) recently, so you should be ok. I took one of mine to the vets recently because she was making sporadic noisy breathing sounds, although no discharge, and he thought she was...

Re: Cat sniffing a bit
Thanks Lilith.
She's up to date with her vaccinations, so theoretically no worry about 'flu. When I was about 15 3 of our cats caught the flu, but they all got well. It was like the drool from a bulldog.
Glad to know other cats grunt and click!

Re: Cat sniffing a bit
Took her to the vet, which she severely resisted. He checked her with the stethoscope, and said there was no sign of any fluid or any obvious abnormality with her heart or lungs. After playing a recording of her breathing on my phone, and saying it happens more when she relaxes, he believed it to be...

Re: Cat sniffing a bit
Thanks. It doesn't seem like the sniffing you get when you have a cold, more like a chronic thing. I first noticed it over a year ago, and it isn't always noticeable. She is less active than normal, but they all are, as it's cold. It's interesting to know other cats get sniffles which aren't anythin...

Cat sniffing a bit
Just recently I've noticed one of my cats sniffing a bit when she breathes in. It doesn't happen all the time I observe her breathing (maybe one in 8 times), and isn't very loud but can be sometimes. It's a bit like light snoring. It seems to happen when she's more relaxed. I'm sure I remember notic...

They are gorgeous. My mother cat still mothers her kittens (even through they are 5 & 6 now), although not too intensely.

Strange the biopsy wasn't more conclusive, but it's good news of sorts, at least nothing bad has been confirmed.
Hopefully he'll be back to normal in no time.

The vet once gave one of my cats a wormer, flea treatment and her jabs on the same day, despite me later finding out you shouldn't give Advocate and Milbemax at the same time. She slept for the whole day.

I do let mine out when it's dark but I go with them. We go for (slow) walks up the road and they stick by my side until they encounter another cat who scares them and we saunter back. When they have had their fill of exploring I bribe the back in with some food. People must think I'm that weirdo who...

Re: Siamese meowing allll night
My Kitty (pictured) tries to lie on my chest or on my pillow at night, and in the early hours constantly bounds across my chest like a stepping stone to get to the window. I'm usually too tired to worry, and I like her on my pillow. It sounds like yours is unsettled because of his new environment, a...

Not on Loc8tor plus - 2 of the supplied tags allow the safe zone to be specified. It doesn't support GPS or anything else.

I was thinking pancreatitis too. Tango was like that for a few days and gradually returned to her normal self after about 2 weeks.

Loc8tor bleeps on their collar when in range too. It also has a safe zone. When they go beyond a certain distance it warns you.

I've had cats sleeping the whole day after their jab and I have been convinced there is something wrong with them, but then it's worn off.
If it persists more than 24 hours I'd ask the vets.

I've only used the Loc8tor Plus, which works well, but I don't think they sell them any more. They still sell the Loc8tor Pet, though, which is cheaper.
Neither has GPS, and works up to 400 yards or so.

Well, she certainly sounds and acts like a Siamese, but her origins are uncertain, apart from her Moggy mother.
Her face gradually got darker but only on one side. Here are a couple of pics from when she was a few weeks old.

Glad he's ok. One of mine once jumped from the bedroom windowsill (which is a foot wide - I keep the window open at night during the summer). She must have jumped from the bay window roof onto the roof of my neighbours car, which made the jump only about 7 feet). I also once heard a noise and I thin...

Mine were born in my back garden from a pregnant neighbours' cat, so I've had them from literally day1, so no really settling in needed, especially as I kept the kittens and the mother!

All mine have been doing that. As soon as it gets colder of wet he'll change his mind. I've taken to leaving the back door and side gate open and get joined about 1-3am with them purring and jumping on my bed.

Why not get 2 so they will keep each other company during the day?
One of mine is half-siamese (pictured in my avatar) and she is demanding and affectionate, and also climbs me and rides around on my shoulder. She isn't overly concerned if I leave her.
