Re: Pinkish red spot on cats nose.
Thanks for the reply, OHWS. Yes, that does seem likely and the spot doesn't seem to bother him. Like I say, I'll just keep my eye on it and apply sun screen when he goes out in the summer.
I've had melanoma myself so all spots are suspicious to me.

Hmm, I see what you mean, OHWS. I haven't been on the forum for a while and this just caught my attention. Then I noticed the date of original post.
Anyway, let's hope they got something sorted.

Re: Cat taken from me
If anyone locked me in a room for two hours without my consent I'd sue the hell out of them for assault Yes, me as well, Lulu. And, this so-called vet was putting that poor cats life in danger by leaving her untreated all that time. I wouldn't let this lie that's for sure. Get some advice from the ...

Pinkish red spot on cats nose.
My tabby and white cat, Dave has a pale pink nose. However, he also has a pinkish red spot underneath the skin of the nose about the size of a lentil. He's always had it but I wondered if anyone else has seen this on a cat. I do keep my eye on it and I don't think it's got bigger.

Webbox Cat Chews
Has anyone else fed these to your cats? They are long stick like things that smell dreadful. But my Dave loves 'em. I've just read on another thread that Webbox aren't very good for cats. If so, I'll stop giving them to Dave. He only gets them as a treat now and again mind.

Awww, they look like beautiful little cats. I would have been heartbroken to loose them as well. I am glad you were there for them, Helen. And I hope they find a good and loving home soon.
Thank you. We need more people like you in the world.

Would you trust this request?
Hi everyone. Hope you and your fur babes are doing ok. Now, on a local forum I belong to, there was a request for a 'kitten or grown tom' to be given free. The person making the request has stated that she recently lost her cat due to illness. Many of us have suggested CPL or RSPCA etc, but the pers...

Cat with winter blues and boredom!!
Hello everyone. Hope you're all well. I need some advice about Dave. During the summer and when it's mild (as it has been lately) I leave the back door open for Dave to either come and go or so he can sit and observe from the door mat. :) However, now it's colder, raining and windy, I close he door ...

Thanks Bobby's Girl and Greenkitty. I am watching a film now and Dave is in his cardboard box :D It has calmed down a bit outside but the little chap shows no inclination to go out yet. Yes, Boby's Girl....kids have that effect on me as well. Have a good evening all. :) xx By the way, has anyb...

Halloween Horrors
My Dave seems very unsettled and anxious this evening. He refuses to go out, won't even sit on the rug near the open door as he usually likes to do. There are some fireworks going off and lots of families with kids walking up and down the street. Dave is eating ok and looks bright eyed, but I know h...

Re: Keeping tinned food fresh.
Hi Meriad. Yes, I thought about decanting it and that's what I'll do. He won't eat cheaper pouches or Whiskas pouches. And Felix only certain flavours. The tins I have atm are Butchers Classic fish variety and he gobbled the first few servings up. I tried him with this (Butchers) as I was told it is...

Keeping tinned food fresh.
How do you keep tinned food fresh until tin is empty or nearly empty? Dave will eat one maybe two, helpings from a newly opened tin, and then refuse it after that. I cover the tin with a plastic lid but I don't keep it in 'fridge. It's kept in his food cupboard. It's becoming just as expensive when ...

Re: Best cat food?
Thank you all for your replies. I now have a list of foods for Dave to try. :D I do tend to put dry food down for him if I'm away for a day so he can nibble. Maybe I'll just use it then and not as a daily thing along with his wet food. At the moment, he likes Sheba or Gourmet in the little individua...

Re: Anyone got older cats?
I had two beautiful black cats, brother and sister called Rowan and Holly. They were eighteen and a half when they were pts. Rowan went first poor boy and, Holly couldn't live without her brother, went down so swiftly and followed Rowan to the 'Bridge' about a week later. Apart from Holly having thy...

Best cat food?
My Dave is looking distinctly porky so I want to try cutting his food down a bit. I think, because he was a stray, I have fed him 'on demand' to compensate for his poor living conditions before I rescued him. Trouble is....he is far too demanding and I, being a soft touch, give in. I cannot ...

I would echo what Greenkitty and Kay have said. Poor little chap must be very upset at being passed around like that. But I'm sure he will now have a loving and caring home with you, Msalsa. I have two litter trays for Dave, who is my only cat and I use a non clumping, very pale grey/white litter me...

Awwwww!! They're gorgeous. They find any patch of sun to bask in. My Dave hates it when it rains. He loves to 'Lie a basking in the sun' and when it's raining, he sulks and I suffer.

Has anyone else seen the advert for Moonpig on TV? An unseen woman is thanking her friend for looking after Arthur the cat. Re: Looking for thoughts about the loss of Freddie
Hi Flowercats. I am so sorry about poor Freddie. It does sound very much as though he knew it was his time and went to sleep. I believe cats do go away from home to die elswhere. I may be wrong of course but I know of several cats who've done this. It's almost as though they do not want us to witnes...

Re: Re Bereavement section Charlie Bear
Which ever way I look at that situation I think it's dreadful. That poor cat had spent 5years with the owner and then suddenly finds himself in the 'care' of people who can only be described as damned incompetent and shouldn't have animals at all. I am so angry on Charlie's behalf. Poor little soul....

Ah, poor Charlie. I am so sorry for your loss. He looks a lovely boy. Personally, I think after one day of not drinking they should have phoned the vet. Not eating is one thing, but not drinking should sound alarm bells IMO. But, as Jacks points out, you cannot turn back time. At least Charlie died ...

Hi Heather. So sorry about little Angel. She sounds as though she was a very courageous little lass, and you did a wonderful thing by loving and caring for her as you did. There is no time limit with grief really. Some people seem to get over loss quicker than others. And it doesn't matter how long ...

More presents from Dave.....
Earlier today, I was writing my blog when I heard Dave meowing at the open back door. I didn't take a great deal of notice except to shout 'What's up Sweety?' Still he meowed. Then he came into the sitting room and began pacing and meowing while staring at me and then looking pointedly at the window...
