Re: Frequent Sloppy Stools

My lot like the Asda food too. We get food donated for the foster cats, so every third or fourth meal they get something random, but my lot mainly get Felix AGAIL or Butchers Classic and do well on it.

Re: Cat litter tray mats

I have one similar to this, which has a ridge around the edge to collect the pee and is a Godsend for the older cats that sometimes don't quite get their butt in far enough! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Omega-Paw-Cleaning-Litter-Mat-/252419734772?hash=item3ac5637cf4:g:zCQAAOSwOVpXWg2s or http://www.eba...

Re: Is the cat next door being fed enough?

Paddington, as did Pugwash before him, gets so excited and mesmerised by the sight of his bowl coming that he walks into things and falls down the kitchen step because he will not take his eyes off it! :D Oh Crewella that is as heartbreaking as it is funny... :( :D It is, and that's why I have such...

Sounds as though the appointment could have gone a lot worse, but hopefully she will get used to a routine and be less 'huffy'! Give her a (careful) fuss from me! :D xx

The 4% stated on cat food refers to the named meat, not the total meat content which is much higher. The ingredients are listed in order of the highest percentage first.

Re: Was I right to get a companion for Rocky?

A little late to this (busy week) but I agree with the others, they look like they get on pretty well to me. My original family of cats were all related and often slept together in a big heap, but it's rare for me to find any of my current gang (not related) sleeping together these days. Different e...

Re: Royal Canin Diet Gastro intestinal food

It took a couple of weeks to really notice the weight gain, but the improvement in his poos was almost overnight. I have five here together, all over 10, and all with different nutritional needs, so have to run feeding time like a military operation. All cats get the same bowl, in the same place, in...

Re: Is the cat next door being fed enough?

I tend to take on all the elderly ex-strays that come in to our rescue, and all of them are pigs and will gorge on any food they can find. Most have been elderly, so pretty set in their ways, but even Daz, who was 5 when he got here, has to be monitored closely or he'll end up a four-legged football...

Re: Royal Canin Diet Gastro intestinal food

Last year I had an elderly ex-stray with dreadful, stinky, sloppy poos and malabsorption issues, the RC Gastro Intestinal was a huge help with him and enabled him to, finally, gain some weight.

Re: Dilemma Time

Because I foster (and am a sucker for a sob story) I've taken on various older mogs over the last few years and found that, as long as the cats are essentially sociable and given plenty of time and space, it usually works out. Only in one case have I had to 'abort mission', when the incoming cat tur...

Re: Incoming ....... Buzz

Sadly the two resident cats were very upset by Buzz's appearance, there were ructions, and Buzz was returned. Personally, I don't think he was given enough time or the right introductions but, hey ho, it's probably better that he's back and will hopefully go on to find a good home as an only cat. OH...
