Re: Will he ever be tame?

Re: Guilt over abandoning feral cats - looking for a friend
With all due respect I read if three times and to remove the cats from their territory was the worse thing you could do and any issues you both faced were insignificant compared to the fear and difficulties you put those cats through by dumping them to find safety food and shelter in a totally hosti...

You don't need to cover a cat or kitten with the fronrline spray the fleas move around the body to the covered areas so rub it arind the head and neck areas and underneath them

Frontline spray would be fine and you can wear rubber gloves spray it on your hands and ruffle it through their fur much less scary for the kitten

We have always used the crate option to introduce newbies keep it in a main room but not somewhere the resident cats are forced to pass it then they get used to each other with no threat or confrontation

Re: Polyp in ear.
Polyps are quite obvious and usually cause irritation scratching and infection depending on how advanced most vets should be able to remove them and part or full ear canal removal its not a specialist thing have never ever know drops to reduce them though have several cats with them to varying degre...

I believe in treating the house and outdoor sleeping areas and then only doing the cats when essential and at 16 I wouldn't be treating a cat just as a matter of routine our jasper only tolerates stronghold and gets an awful sore with any other spot on but all can be different I certainly wouldn't w...

I believe the cat allergy tests are antibody tests in the UK you can buy them online but I think they rely on previous exposure to cats its probably worth calling your GP surgery and asking them I would imagine they could answer your question more reliably but it may not show up how serious any alle...

It does depend on the quality of flood you feed and his activity levels if he's a big lad personally I would double that using premium quality food and monitor his weight

Re: Vet Costs, Why do Vets Charge so Much
Its the amount they charge compared to the price of a lot of the drugs they use I know first hand how cheap some of the drugs are so when you go in and receive an injection that actually costs just over a pound and 14 tablets at 4p each but the bill for the visit is 50+ pound its a little steep to s...

I would put down several trays each with a different litter to see which one she prefers then choose the one she prefers and have two trays changing one fully with fresh litter every day just to see if that helps

Re: Getting a new cat/kitten with old cat
Hi I think your older cat would probably adjust more easily to a kitten than another adult as long as you give kitten plenty to occupy it so it doesn't pester her too much if this would bother her and its worth bearing in mind that kittens need good homes wherever they come from be it a rescue a pri...

It looks to me as though you could possibly extend the flooring that appears to be at the back of the bed up to the wall and I would imagine if you wished you could use clear good quality perspex it would need a supporting wooden sill along the wall to attach to and periodic cross supports but could...
