There are brands with higher meat content, but unfortunately they also have a higher protein content, so not ideal for cats with kidney issues.

I never fed it, as I always felt it was expensive for the ingredients. That link just says 4.1% salmon, not even minimum, although dried chicken and turkey is obviously higher being the first ingredient. Still not impressed with the ingredient list.

I only picked Lucy's up on Sat and it is going down well, but she's never turned dry food down. The brand is called Farmina, Vet Life.

I'm sorry to hear your cat is so poorly - acute is the worst kind unfortunately, prognosis depends on the cause. If the vet said he already had chronic kidney issues, then that could be the cause.
