It does sound like the same stuff.
For what it's worth, I do exactly the same as Meriad and feed half a pouch to each of my six twice a day along with some dry.

Re: Cat/Kitten Recall
I don't try it frequently, but because I call my lot in to feed them (and then shut them in for the night), all mine come when called in, even at other times of the day. Calling them over to me from a few feet away, however, is another matter entirely!

Re: OPINIONS PLEASE.....BARNEYS FIRST TRIP OUTDOORS !!!!
Julie, don't worry - the kindest thing you can do is let Barney do what he wants, and if he's showing no signs of wanting to get out there, then he's obviously happy as he is. I would just leave things be for now. (((hugs)))

Re: Advice needed - respiratory infection/laryngitis/vomitin
I do similar to the above, but kneel on the floor with them backed up between my legs, wrapping one arm around the chest and using that hand to hold the head back and open the mouth, and the other hand to drop the pill as far back as I can. I make sure to wear long sleeves, just in case, but I used ...

Re: Metronidazole
My old Minnie has been on Metronidazole a couple of times for diarrhea and it worked well. I go for the 'down the hatch' method, as all my lot seem to have super-pill-spotting-radar.

Re: Fluffy needs an operation!
I'm a bit hazy on this, but I have a vague recollection of a couple of mine drinking a lot after an op, and being told that they often have a slightly sore throat as they put a tube down it during the op? My vet doesn't charge for a follow-up appointment after an op either, or to be more precise it'...

I'm a chronic googler myself, and I wish I could have been of more help but, whilst I have some understanding, I don't feel knowledgeable enough. It's perfectly reasonable for a worried owner to ask for details on blood test results - hopefully your vet will be more helpful when you try to speak to ...

Re: Fluffy needs an operation!
Oh I'm so glad she's home, as I'm sure you are! For a couple of mine the vet has been happy for me to keep an eye on things, where he would normally want them back for a check-up. For some cats it's much better than yet another stressful visit, just as long as you check carefully ..... which I'm ver...

Re: Moving house with cats - any advice/comments appreciated
All good advice, I recently moved with my six and the one I was most worried about, 19 year-old Minnie, coped the best - as soon as she'd found her heated bed and the litter tray, she went straight back to her usual routine. Others took longer, and I did start them off in one room (and then played i...

Re: Mr Grey caught a robin
Oh I'm under no illusions that it's love ......... only Daz brings things home, and he just leaves the bits he doesn't want (like gall bladders ...... yum) or can't manage at the time (like half a bunny). He does leave me the odd shrew, whole, but I read the other day that shrews have an oil in thei...

Re: Boris is going to the dentist
Glad Boris has perked up. :) If it helps, my Grumpy Nellie has no teeth at all, and always finishes her dinner first out of my six. She eats wet and dry, and only struggles a little when we give them something like roast (or boiled) chicken, which I have to cut up smaller for her than I do the others.

Re: Urgent advice needed for cat who was blinded yesterday
I'm so sorry, it's a distressing thing to watch. When my Alpha lost her second eye to glaucoma, she was very withdrawn for about a week (she spent almost all her time on the sofa), but gradually we got her to follow us around by talking and doing little stampy steps, and eventually she grew in confi...

Re: Inflammatory Bowel Disease & appropriate diagnosis proce
If I can be honest, I suspect that what is annoying your vet is that you seem to be googling enough to ask your vet questions and challenge his decisions, but not enough to answer the questions yourself, which does seem a bit unfair? If it helps, my 19 year old Minnie is on Prednisolone every other ...
