Thanks for the help guys. Got me thinking so I had a rummage on Zooplus and I'm going to give this one a go - Biokats Micro Cat Litter Unscented. http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/cat_litter/clumping_litter/biokats/137981" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; If it's no good then...

Re: Cat Litter Issues
Hey Mark, is the Sanicat Gold dust free? If it is then I'll definitely give it a shot! I'd like to try the Silica but I've read so many reviews from folk saying their cats don't like it.. plus I do like removing clumps.. the idea of "stirring" the litter seems kinda gross to me  Edit:...

Cat Litter Issues
Hey guys, I'm not sure whether or not anyone can help me with this as it's not a totally straight forward question. My cat Harvey has Asthma caused by allergies so I had to change his litter to a dust free litter - he was previously using standard clumping clay litter and this was very dusty. Due to...

Anyone tried this? Acupressure for your cat in heat...
 My friend has a young female cat, just turned 8 months old. He lives in a flat so she's an indoor cat so although he was intending on getting her spayed, he hadn't realised the urgency as he knew she wasn't at risk of pregnancy and had never experienced a cat in heat before. As a result, he's ...

Re: Can a nibble become a bite?
I don't think he's likely to bite you worse Ahmed, I wouldn't worry about that - very few domesticated cats will bite severely enough to puncture the skin unless they're injured or terrified. If he's just nibbling then it's probably just some weird little quirk he has; all kitties have their quirks....

Re: Kevin's a biter!
Haha yeah you're not alone.. it's pretty normal kitten behaviour :) I hope blowing in the face helps! It's a nice, simple solution that doesn't require you to have anything nearby and is hands free! :) works like a charm for Bailey. I've just bought some nubby teething keys intended for babies - you...

Wow Kay, your neighbour sounds awful, I'm glad Tosker was OK.. I'd have kicked your neighbour in the privates :) Unfortunately I've no idea if the adjuvant is what has caused the reactions Tiffany has experienced.. it's possible I guess but I'm not a vet so I don't know :/ It also depends if the vac...

Re: Vaccine side effects?
I'm really happy my posts have helped Helen :) I'm trying to give impartial information as best as I can as I don't want to tell people what they should and shouldn't do with their own furry family members, but I'm glad to be able to clarify any confusion around the subject where I can as it's a bit...

Re: Vaccine side effects?
I'm glad the information helped :) Kay - I found a local lady who has been cat sitting for 30 years and has a great reputation. She and I have worked out an arrangement and I can pretty much call on her any time at short notice and she can fit me in for visits so the arrangement works really well in...

Re: Kevin's a biter!
My kitten Bailey is exactly the same as Kevin and I've found blowing in his face is the best solution. It's perfectly normal kitten behaviour and you've got nothing to worry about, Kevin isn't at all unusual in his behaviour! As soon as Bailey goes for my hand I blow in his face and he unlatches. I ...

Aw that's great Joanne, I'm glad he's back to his normal self :) Jan - as far as annual boosters go - it's a personal choice really. UK Vets recommend annual boosters as that's always been the way they've done things and for any cats who use catteries routinely, they will also insist on annual boost...

Haha it sounds like your cats are all a lot more sensible than mine :) Well, except Bobby perhaps  So far this year, Clive has swallowed some sparkly ribbon and vomited it up, Harvey (all 6kg of him) has attempted now to scale my poor little scrawny 5ft tree, knocking a number of decorations of...

Christmas Dangers
Hey everyone, feel free to add to this list but I thought I'd mention a few of the things we have out around Christmas that perhaps not everyone knows are dangerous to our kitties :) Don't panic and feel the need to remove all of this stuff from your house, it's just advice so you know what you shou...

Re: Vets don't know what's wrong - cat with diarrhea!
Just to echo what's already been said.. I've not really got too much to add but I've had cats with squitty tummies over the years and experience has taught me to feed all my cats a grain free and sugar free diet and avoid fishy flavours. I'm also very shocked your vet hasn't mentioned diet.. it's th...

Hey, I thought I'd just give everyone a little update on Bailey :) He's firmly a Bailey now hehe. He was 10 weeks old on Wednesday and he's going for his first kitten shots tomorrow morning! Alarmingly, he's rather large for a 10 week old kitten. He's a half Maine Coon so I knew he'd probably grow q...

You should see the state of my hands right now from the kitten... cat scratches aren't really that bad, especially not ones you get through your clothes from a cat launching off you. Does sting a bit though  Clive tends to lie on my knee and then grip on and launch off me, usually resulting in ...

Re: Tommy and the vet!!
The easipet fabric carrier just arrived - it's awesome and will definitely suit my needs but I'm not sure it would be good for Tommy as the top opening isn't really large enough to top load a cat - it's big enough to give them some fuss and/or potentially drag a smaller cat through if its being diff...
