Re: Best option for adding another cat
I would go for a older cat for two main reasons. The first is that a kitten might be to livley for your cats especially as you say they are lazy. With the kitten wanting to play all the time it might iritate your two cats and lead to conflict. The second thing is that you wont know the temprement of...

Re: Cat advice needed!
Congratulations on thinking on adopting a cat. i would surguest you get a bonded pair of older kittens/cats from a rescue as this will allow them to settle in better. There are lots of paired cats in the age group 3 upwards who seem to get forgotten by the kitten loving public. I adopted two older c...

Re: Taking a new outdoor cat
Glad you have decided taking the cat im sure they will quickly settle in to a routine. If you are still worried about the cat being outside you can get trackers that fit on a cats collar and which allow you to track were your cat is and as been so you can monitor if its going in dangerous places. Al...

Re: Taking a new outdoor cat
It sounds like this cat may prefer the out doors due to circumstances rather than choice. if you have been keeping it indoors while looking after it as it been happy? I agree its cruel to force a cat to be an indoor cat when it wants to be a out door one but by giving this cat the affection its miss...

You might be better posting this on the FIV rehoming section. Also if you ask on the FIV section im sure someone might be able to point you in the direction of a good rescue.
Good luck finding them a home.

The supervet
Watching a program called supervet on channel 4. Just watched as the vet was treating a cat whos leg had been caught in a snare trap. The cats heart stoped for 3 minutes and as a last chance the vet cut a hole in the cats chest and massaged heart directly and he saved the cat. Absolutly amazing and ...

Re: Had to have my 20 year old cat pts
So sad for your loss. I had to take a similar decision with my cat Barney and i know how hard it is. Your cat was suffering during these attacks and from what you say they were getting more frequent. You consulted the vet and took the brave decision to stop your cat suffering even if the suffering w...

Re: Nee kitten. is it indoor or outdoor cat?
I have always had indoor cats due to living in flats and i believe that you cant make a outdoor cat into a indoor cat unless the cat wants to . I once took on a 18 month old who i was told was a indoor cat ( i took the cat on as the owners had said they would dump it or PTS. It was evedent within a ...
