Re: Cat litter

Thanks for the link meriad! I will be getting some of this and some of the worlds best.
With clumping litter how often do you wash the tray out?? And do you throw the litter away and start a fresh? It's so tempting to just keep 'topping up'!

Re: what to tell a toddler (2 years 10 months) after the death of a pet

Hi Becca, Definitely be honest about what has happened. I wouldn't mention that he will be sleeping forever in case he gets scared of going to sleep. Ask him if he wants to see and say goodbye to the cat. I had to put my 10yr old cat to sleep a month ago. Everybody said goodbye to him before he went...

Re: My cats pee in the corner of the living room- how can I stop them?

I suggest to clean the area thoroughly to get rid of the urine smell. You can buy pet urine cleaners online. Then put a litter tray there for them to use, then slowly move it closer to where you want it. Keep the other litter tray where it is incase they are fussed about using the same one. Good luck!

Re: Cat litter

Am now on the Tesco Ultra Clumping Premium cat litter. Personally I find it way to dusty, especially when you're doing the 'unlucky' dip and sieving around. Clumps nicely like the Almo one. I'm working my way down the list  What I want in cat litter: Good clumping, no odour, no dust and reasona...

Re: New user - Cat with squamous cell carcinoma

Hi Antonio, I don't think Lola is mad at you. I came across this website that explains how to get visitations and why you haven't had one yet. http://www.jadestarotreadings.com/dream-visitations.html Aflie visited me after 10 days, on April 14, Good Friday. In my dream, the back door was open. It wa...

She's gone in 'the zone' Basically she's saying 'back off, this is my toy!' She's in hunting mode. My 4mth kitten growls when he's running about! Nothing to worry about, just perfecting their hunting skills :)

Re: Cat litter

Almo Nature clumps nicely but like MarySkater I won't be buying it again when it's finished. The little minx keeps playing in it like a sand box!! I'm going to try the Tesco, Morrisons and Aldi ones next!

Re: Cat litter

Almo Nature cat litter was delivered today. I've never been excited about cat litter before! I emptied the entire bag into the tray, kitten was curious about it and spent ages playing in it like it was a sand box!!! Had to stop this, so I mixed his previous litter into it so he wasn't confused...

Do they only do this once a year? I remember reading on facebook that my local Cats Protection had one in June. Does it vary for each branch?

So sorry to hear of your loss too Antonio. I had hoped she was still going strong with the amount of care that you gave her. I too keep seeing my boy everywhere. Re: Cat has colon cancer - advice needed

Thank you for all the kind messages. Alfie would have been 11yrs old on the 8th of April. He died four days short of his birthday. I had to visit the in-laws with the kids over the Easter hols so didn't get a chance to fully grieve. When we came back on Sunday I felt the gaping hole in my heart. I h...

Re: Cat has colon cancer - advice needed

Had him euthanised today and held him in my arms for ages afterwards. It was time to let him go. He stopped eating and was vomiting clear liquid yesterday and he stumbled when I gently put him down on the floor. I was scared of waking up and going downstairs this morning as I had a feeling things we...

Re: Advocate, Frontline or Bob Martin??

Do you buy it directly from the vet or get it online with a prescription? Do the vets write out these prescriptions for you if you ask? I guess they lose out on some profit as the ones I’ve seen online are half the price if bought directly.

Same here. All my cats were on supermarket brands. I had never heard of these 'posh' brands before, didn't even know they were available! Was wondering what you fed your cat? Supermarket brands like Felix/ Whiskas or the expensive stuff like Lily's Kitchen/ Natures best. What is the best food to give? Does it make the cat live a healthier and longer life? Or is there no benefit? Would really like to hear what you feed your cat be it a...

Re: first time kitten owner - totally blind

Best to keep kitten in one room first. Also at night time put it in a dog crate with its bed, food and litter tray. Kittens have really sharp teeth and can chew electric wires. I feel comfortable doing this as it's peace of mind. They have so much energy bouncing around. Enjoy your little one!

When to introduce a kitten to a resident cat

Thinking about getting a kitten...

When would you introduce it to the current cat? After it has had all it's vaccinations?
My other cat is an outdoor cat and I don't want it to pass anything on to it.
