I've got a couple of ex ferals and one very feral cat. It's amazing, but almost as soon as the visitors have left, they suddenly re-appear - glad all went well.

What floor will the flat be on? Will you have your own entrance or shared? Are you going to be in a quiet area or main road? Will you have a garden either your own or shared?

Lucy is still with me, but definitely slowing down. Getting her to eat is getting harder. I am frustrated. Not with her, but with the cruelty of this situation. So here's a weird thing. I've noticed that Lucy is more willing to eat if she can hear one of the others cats eating nearby too....not sure of the cat psychology behind this but it's come in useful a few times (-:

Lucy is on special food so I have to feed her separately. Mostly paté type meals so they are soft on her mouth (roof of her mouth is problem area ), some chicken or prawns diced up small. Ex strays often overeat too.
You haven't said if he's overweight or thin but is definitely get him blood tested. Overeating can be just a greedy cat but can mean your cat is compensating for an underlying issue.
