7 month old female feeding pattern
Gémo is 7 months old now, and has been on 3 meals a day, and always seems ravished when I feed her. Her "brother" Chamaille is a year old and is having 3 meals a day too, just because it is easier, although I am careful to monitor his amount accordingly. When should I start feeding them, p...

Re: Water Flavouring Idea! Please help!
Just might be worth mentioning that our cat developed the same problem with crystals. It was at a time that he was shut indoors, as we were renting near a very busy road and didn't want to risk letting him out in case he got run over. His reason was lack of exercise, which is a common problem with t...

Re: Fluffy in discomfort
Purdy had wobbles from time to time. I had heard that back end problems are associated with old age...ie constipation, wobbly back end and urinary problems. Maybe someone can clarify this? At least the vet can give her a good check up tomorrow. Hope it all goes well.

Re: Fluffy in discomfort
You mention her back legs are wobbly...how old is she? This can be a common sign with age. Give her a huge kiss from me, and let us know once you have seen the vet tomorrow.

Re: Fluffy in discomfort
Aww poor baby! Try some tuna in oil, or maybe a little olive oil in her food. I know tuna isn't good long term, but oil is good for cats constipation. Also, ensure she has plenty of water available. Is she drinking normally? Let us know how things go, but a trip to the vets is necessary really so th...

Re: Very nervous cat!!
Well done on what you are doing. We have adopted lots of cats in our time, and had one particular cat who was quite nervous and defensive, although this didn't stop us adopting her. I believe all cats have a chance in life, and we may of only had her for 4 months before she was taken from us, but sh...

Re: Litter tray issues
Ironically, I have just gone out to dig one of the gardens and they were queuing up for a wee on fresh soil!!!!!! Hope I get a good crop this year after that!

Re: Litter tray issues
I am also aware that if I don't clean the trays thoroughly, knowing how clean cats are, they wouldn't use it! Sometimes it is OK, but then decide to empty it, then there is a queue to get in it. Also, I am aware that if they are using reused litter, they are then treading dirty paws all over our hou...

Re: Litter tray issues
Wow..if I changed my litter every 2 or 3 days the house would stink! I do it every time they have pooped, or at least get rid of the old mess. I am not against having litter trays indoors....I have had cats for 25 years. I am just trying to get them to go outdoors. Yes it could be another cat issue....

Litter tray issues
We have Gémo who is 6 months, and has been going out for 3 weeks now and Chamaille who is 11 months and has been going out for 3 months. They are both trained to go outside for the loo, but are getting a bit lazy and using the indoor tray. My husband suggests we move the litter tray outside, I say w...

Re: Cleaning up scratch wounds
The problems happen if they receive cat bites. Our cats have developed abcesses after fights. Keeping them clean and keeping an eye on them is key.

Re: Cat just been neutered, lump now found?
Our Purdy had a lump that was found quite early on and that was a hernia, but it never bothered him, and was just left. Always worth a visit to the vet though.
