Re: food for an old cat
Kay, may I ask - when you say you put yours into the slow cooker; how long do you cook it for and do you add anything to it or is it literally just the meat. And then do you mush it up or leave it in chunks? Also if you are concerned about the nutrients then there's always Felini which is a complete...

Re: Asda is the place to shop for cat food this week
Thanks Mark.... I stocked up a bit at Sainsbury over the weekend (2 for £7 on the AGAIL) but come the end of the week I'll be nearly out of cat food so will need to do a major stock up.

Re: Importance Of Safety Collars
A very good point Ruth, I hadn't thought of that.
Julia - I totally agree. I know people complain about the cost of safety collars but I'd rather pay 10x that and know that my cat will be safe.
Glad Noodley is OK - fusses to her

Roughly how much do you think it costs to 'keep' a cat ...
per month that is... I was having a debate with someone who said that it can't be that expensive but I worked out for me it's approximately £50 per cat (ouch!) which covers the monthly insurance, food, worm and flea treatment and also money towards their annual boosters. That doesn't include any unp...

Re: Help and advice-I am driving myself into an anxious mess
Hey there and welcome to CC. First off I am very certain that you most certainly have not left a cat to die. I would very strongly suspect that (if he were homeless) he would have found another source of food; cats are quite resilient. And given you've had two families look out for him they would ha...

Re: My rescue cats mysterious past
how absolutely fascinating. I definitely would like to know more about the past of two of my boys; Monty and Harry. I know a bit about Monty but not very much about Harry but both boys have some issues related to their past. My other 4 I've had from quite young; Abbie, Jamie and Henry I got when the...

Re: dismantling and transporting a cattery
Oh, that sounds fab :) I can't offer much advice; the only thing I can suggest is if you go onto one of these sites and see if you can find someone there: http://www.mybuilder.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://www.ratedpeople.com" onclick="window.open(this...

Re: Brother Deceased
It's a hard one. A number of years back now I lost my cat Chloe who was 13 at the time. Afterwards her sister (from the same litter) was very clingy and quite vocal as well and I was so sure she was very lonely and as a result, three months later, I adopted two 5 month old sisters - Jamie and Abbie....

I think you'll be more than fine with just the salt water. As for the antiseptic, I think diluted hibiscrub would work

Re: Allergy
Carol, you can get Petal Cleanse on Ebay and a few other places. Just type it into your google search bar and various options come up. I'm also allergic to cats and same as Lyn I find I react more to some than to others. Whenever I adopt a new cat (I've got 6) I see how I go and if need be take some...

hm, really not sure. I agree with Catsue that it may well be an umbilical hernia. See what the vet has to say when you call them this morning.
Good luck and please do let us know how you get on

Re: relocating cat
oh, that's an interesting one Spence and not 100% sure to be honest. I hope someone else will come along soon that can offer better advice. Personally what I'd do is invest in an extra large dog crate and move your cat to the new premises and keep her in the crate to start with. That should hopefull...

Re: Befast-Urgent: little adorable cat looks for holiday hou
Anne, well done for looking after this little guy. Please do get Leo neutered as soon as you can, ie once he's healthy enough. Age wise he's old enough now and he (and you) will be so much happier once he's been neutered. It'll stop him from roaming around, getting into fights, spraying etc. Fusses ...

Re: Probably sounds really silly but.........
Shelly, probably not what you want to hear, but trust me - Dora WILL be fine. Chances are she'll spend most of the day and evening fast asleep and not even notice that you haven't been home as much as normal. As long as there is food and water she'll be OK, and then when you do come home you'll have...
