We put our new kitty in a bedroom by himself with everything he needed including a litter tray. I sat on the floor on the opposite site of the room, reading to him but not approaching him so he would get used to me being around.

I'm glad he's doing OK. That's a shame they won't cover the tests.

We've had 2 cats with tummy problems and I've never heard of giving an antiobitic for this. I thought that antibiotics can create problems by killing the good bacteria.

P.S. We can buy it without a prescription and it's much less expensive than at the vets.

Teddy's been on this food for over 6 months and it's very good. It's made his stools normal again, he's gained back the weight he lost, and his coat is super shiny and luxurious. We can't seem to feed him anything else without him getting very loose stools, so we'll probably keep him on this forever.

I'm really sorry Emma, I've only just seen your question. Flo had fluid in her abdomen which they tested and flushed out. It sounds like your kitty's blood results are different from hers though, so maybe it's not the same thing.

Have you been to the vet today?

Flo had a fever, very raised white blood cells, low total protein and low albumin. I don't remember about lymph nodes but her paperwork says the radiography showed evidence of pre sternal lymphadenopathy.
