Re: My cat doesn't appear to go to the toilet outside

Nothing useful to add about snakes, but I have enjoyed reading these posts. How interesting! I laughed about reptile forums getting rowdy - you should have seen how CC used to get sometimes. As regards your boy and his toileting habits, Graham, I concur with everyone's comments. Ours can use t...

Yes, Edgar had this the first day we took him home from rescue before his first vacs. The little girl we fostered for a while at Christmas also had it. It was no bother to either of them.

Re: Health advice

Absolutely, a vet visit is vital. There are many things that your little boy could be suffering from, and you need to get to the bottom of it as soon as possible. Please give him a kiss from us and let us know what the vet says. Sending both of you every positive and loving thought. xx

Oh Paul, what a beautiful little girl. She had a wonderful life with you and she will always be in your heart. I have an 18 year old girl and I dread the day when I will have to face this too, but I hope that the love we share will help me through, as it will help you. Hugs to you, and kisses to Spi...

Re: My two cats very shy !!

Hi Laura I think you can be reassured that they clearly see your home as their safe place. You don't want them running anywhere else if they are scared by anything, and as Baggypants says, a certain fear of strangers is a healthy protection mechanism. My younger girl runs to hide if the door bell ri...

Re: BARNEYS ILL WITH BLADDER PROBLE YET AGAIN.....SO ANNOYED

Ah!!! Two dinner Barney! Hopefully your neighbour will take it in the spirit intended. Does Barney's Kitty Collar have any medical/dietary info on it? Edgar's has 'DIABETIC' on it in the unlikely chance (hopefully) he got out of the garden and somedbdy decided the beautiful chap was looking hungry -...

Any reason not to get attached? Kylie?? I know that's a hard one. I would have asked to take your little tortie in the attic if it wasn't that Pepz would be majorly annoyed.

Re: Struggling to pill Kylie with Metronidazole

We really struggled with this medication for Edgar who refused it in Webbox after a few days of being prepared to tolerate it. In the end he came off it because it seemed that his gingivitis was down to cereal intolerance anyway. However, I know that Jill recommends sprinkling it in water. We never ...

Re: BARNEYS ILL WITH BLADDER PROBLE YET AGAIN.....SO ANNOYED

Bobby's girl - that is useful advice. If our vet, Paul, left the practice, we would look elsewhere. He has really come round to our way of thinking about our cats in the two and half years we've been taking them to him - we work together well. But the owner of the practice is a dog man and I've hear...

Re: BARNEYS ILL WITH BLADDER PROBLE YET AGAIN.....SO ANNOYED

How frustrating. Sometimes anew look at things is helpful, other times it's an annoying lack of consistency. I hope your lovely boy is happy tonight. I smiled at your comment about her being too young to be a vet. At the weekend I though i was so clever when I saw two very young men checking out of ...

Re: Trying to tempt Fluffy to eat

Jill may be on to something there, Carol. Fluffy might be really stimulated by some offal, it is so natural and earthy for them. Pepsi loves liver. She doesn't have it very often but when she has she goes crazy for it. I don't know why I didn't think of that before. XX

Re: Trying to tempt Fluffy to eat

I've taken the plunge and ordered one the bowls you suggested, Kay. I have a feeling it may help Lou Lou who makes a real meal (or not, more likely) of eating wet food. She seems to struggle to get her mouth around it (although that problem disappears when freshly cooked chicken is on the menu) and ...

Re: BARNEYS ILL WITH BLADDER PROBLE YET AGAIN.....SO MISERAB

oh Julie, just catching up. I was away all weekend and just opened up the forum. You are at the vet now with your baby. We all hope that a good solution is proposed. Wet food definitely sounds the way forward diet wise at least. I know how hard it is watching a long term condition and how it affects...

What a wonderful little girl she is! We are delighted to hear that the Duchess has eaten more of the Thrive and has been snoring next to you. What a pleasure it must be to hear her little snores. We are thinking of you all the time. Fluffy's personal food supply rivals any branch of PAH now, I'm sur...

Re: Trying to tempt Fluffy to eat

That's good to know, Mark. Lou Lou is extremely fussy but she loves ham, which obviously she can't have as a main meal, so these could be up her street.

We all hanging in there with you and the little girl, Carol. xxx
