Re: Royal Canin Vet Diet Sensitivity Control substitute?
Not sure on the sensitive side, but I use Kattovit renal rather than RC. Depends why your cat needs it He tends to get loose stools on whiskas. Changed him to JWB and it was a bit better but still had bad farts. Tried him on the RC sensitive stuff and that seemed to help alot. He doesn't fart as mu...

Re: Help introducing dog to cat
I agree with Sniper1 about treating your cat everytime the dog arrives. It will then start to associate treats with the dog!
Don't put her treat in his dog bowl. You wouldn't want to eat off somebody elses plate!

Re: Help introducing dog to cat
Hi and welcome to the forum. I've never introduced a dog to a cat but I've introduced a new kitten to a resident cat several times. It's mostly scent swapping and letting your cat approach the dog on its own terms. Do not force the cat to meet the dog. Dogs behave differently to cats and may get exc...

When is it safe to leave kitten with 15mth cat??
So I've succumbed to adding another kitty to the household. A lovely ginger male kitten. Now the problem I have is that my younger cat is a little too rough with him when they play. My 10wk kitten is very docile and nothing like my other cat when he was a kitten. I've been supervising them when intr...

Re: the ever popular food question....
My cat is a little fussy. Some wet foods he won't eat. The only way I can get him to eat it is to mix it with his favourite dry food! That does the trick. It's a 50/50 mix of wet and dry. Maybe try mixing a tiny amount of wet food to his dry and gradually increase it.

Re: Ragdolls
Hi Ruth B, Did you have to groom your ragdoll alot? I asked my friend who has two ragdolls and she said she wouldn't get long haired again as it was high maintenance and she took the cats to the groomers twice a year to keep the knots and matting down.

Is your outside area secure? Ours isn't so it could crawl out to the road. All the research I've read up on says to keep them in as they are so placid and not very street wise.

For those that have owned ragdoll cats how long did they live for and did they have genetic problems? Thinking about getting one but reading up on them it seems like they are prone to some hereditary health problems. "Kidney and bladder problems are a particular problem within the breed, with p...

Re: Is this fur balls?
Hello peeps, So one of my cats, she's about 12 yo, keeps coughing as if she is going to produce a furball then nothing appears. Has anyone else seen this? Can you recommend any remedies, I've got a feeling I can get a paste to give her but wondering if I should also get her vet checked in case it's...

Re: How Often Do You Wash Litter Trays?
I use a clumping litter. When the litter gets low, I filter it through a sieve into another tray and top it up. The used tray then gets washed. It depends how often he uses it, not so much now that the weather is better. So hardly washing it, but I do it once a month if it's only been touched a few ...

Well, looks like it was worth the wait. Had stuff sitting in the basket as it wasn't urgent. Guess what? They sent me a surprise 10% off code!
2ANA-8YQX-A5TC-7H7I-LF5 - expires 11 March. Not sure if it will work in general or if it's a one time use. Worth a try if anyone needs it.

Yes, after you've had an order from them, they tend to send an email afterwards giving you 5% off your next order. Maybe keep an eye out in your email. Thanks xx

Re: Butchers best
That seems to be the case. Less meat in tin and now almost a quarter of it is jelly! Why do these manufacturers mess about with these things!? I don't mind paying a bit more if they stick to the same quality. Now I have to look elsewhere!

Butchers best
Has the recipe changed? I noticed that the new cans I bought seem to be runnier with more liquid and the last tin of the old one is more like a solid jelly. Anyone else noticed this? Or was it a bad batch. My cat didn't like eating the runnier version. So not sure whether to buy it anymore.

As others have mentioned, gradually introduce the new food with the old food, increasing it slowly. Try not to stick to one brand. I read all the advice on here about cat food and decided not to stick to a certain brand as I didn't want a fussy cat. He is fussy but he still eats it   He de...

Re: New Kittens Arriving In 3 Or 4 Weeks time.
We introduced our kitten in the living room. He played with us when we were in there. We put him in a cage with food and cat litter when we went to bed. I didn't want to leave him roaming about and playing by himself in the living room due to the electric wires. They like to chew things when they ar...

Re: Bella wont eat wet food.
Are her teeth causing her problems again? You could chop up/mash the lumpy bits so that they are finer. I use to do that to encourage my older cat to eat. Is she eating the dry food okay? I mix wet and dry together as mine prefers dry but I want him to have more water intake as I'm scared he'll get ...
