Re: Low white cell count

Just thinking about your two poorly babies. Hope that Henry has continued to improve and that Tips has recovered from her vet visit earlier. Some antibiotics have a particularly unpleasant taste. Apparently Baytril is one that is quite horrible. Reason I know this is because a vet once told me that ...

Re: Fluffy needs an operation!

Thanks Sarah. Yes I think she is feeling better. Her appetite is good too. I am pleasantly surprised with how well she has coped since her op. Maybe she's trying her best not to worry me (any more than normal anyway). Fusses have been passed on to her ladyship. She sends special fusses to Pepsi xx

Re: OPINIONS PLEASE.....BARNEYS FIRST TRIP OUTDOORS !!!!

Oh what a little sweetie he is :) I can just imagine him clinging onto you and digging his claws in the further you got away from the patio doors. I am not experienced with this at all. I seem to always say that on your posts. Sorry :) However I agree with what the others have said. Be led by what B...

Re: Boris is going to the dentist

Great to hear that Boris is doing so well. What a relief for you. I agree with Anna and Helen. I would keep him on the renal food. If he likes it and you don't need to go to great lengths to tempt him to eat it then you'd be better keeping him on it. So many owners just cannot get their cats to eat ...

Re: Low white cell count

Oh Val :(

That's the last thing you need. I hope that Tips is back now and that the vet can help her feel better.

Hopefully it won't be too long before she and Henry recover. Glad Henry was eating well this morning.

Thinking of you in your anxious state.

Re: Fluffy needs an operation!

Hi Jackie and Jan xx Jacks I hope all remains well with your gang and that there'll be no cause for worry this weekend. Fluffy has chucked up a large fur ball this morning so hopefully she will feel even better now. She's constantly purring and squeaking at me (her way of talking to me nowadays). I ...

Re: Fluffy needs an operation!

That's good to know about fibre response. I'll keep her off it til she returns to normal. Thanks for the advice re miralax. I gave her 1/4 of teaspoon today. I'll give it her again tomorrow and then see how things are.

Val I'm so pleased your boy is now home. I really hope that the treatment he's had will help and that the antibiotics make a difference too. You must be so worried but at least he's with you now and you can keep him comfortable. He will feel much better and happier at home. We all adore Henry, he is...

Hi Diana, it's Carol. Sorry I keep forgetting that some of our user names are different on this forum. On the last forum some of us had our user name and our own name. I realised too late that I'd not done it right when I registered on this one. Maybe it is just something and nothing. What is good i...

Re: Fluffy needs an operation!

Thanks Shelly and Sarah xx I'm sure it is a literal relief for Fluffy :) Hopefully all is forgiven about poogate. Nice to hear little Pepsi is enjoying herself in the garden with the leaves. It's turned out to be quite a sunny evening over here. I think I'll join Fluff in the summerhouse. Whenever I...

Yeh!!! Bowel movement has been accomplished :) About 20mins ago to be precise.

Just in the nick of time!

Little Duchess must surely feel so much better. She's celebrating by sitting on my chair in the summerhouse.

Hope Laz is ok Mark. One down, one to go :)

Re: Strange 'nervous tick'

Hi Diana, of course me and Fluffy remember you!! I don't really know what to suggest with Shelly. If this is something entirely new then best keep an eye on it. Fluffy has had something similar over the years. Like a momentarily nodding of her head. I remember even doing an impression of it for my v...

Awww lovely pictures. I had to laugh at the one of Chompy. How laid back is he!!! I see what you mean about Millie's and Fluffy's expressions. Millie was absolutely beautiful. Love the one of her on the floor having a good stretch :) And the one of her at the window is so familiar. I see that look o...

Re: Fluffy needs an operation!

Thanks for the reassurance Mark. Yes she's definitely comfortable so far. I'm keeping a close eye on her and have planned to put some more pumpkin in her next lot of food. I was surprised at the price on amazon. It seemed quite a bargain compared with what others were charging and the fact I could g...

Re: Fluffy needs an operation!

Hi Jan. Thanks so much for thinking of us. I know we'll get into trouble but have to report that Fluff still hasn't been able to go today. Late this afternoon she's kept trying again without success. Poor baby. She talks to me when she gets out of her tray as if she's trying to tell me all about it....

Re: HELP I found lumps on my 18 yr old cats abdomen ..Cancer

What an absolutely gorgeous girl!! I think that in time you really will take comfort in the way that she went so peacefully. I know that with each of my pets I have always hoped that would be the way they would go. But it has never happened. A vet once told me that it is quite rare that they go in t...

Re: Fluffy needs an operation!

Morning Sarah and Mark. Well she hasn't been yet. But she settled down eventually late last night. I'd left down some food with a cocktail of different things in it to help her go. She didn't touch it! She has had some food this morning and seems a bit brighter. She went outside and had a mini patro...

Hi Val. I have been thinking about your lovely Henry and wondering if he was getting any better. I don't have any suggestions I'm afraid. But just wanted you to know I'm thinking about you. Re: Fluffy needs an operation!

Oh Julie. You are just like me. Yes I've got some slippery elm. However Fluffy has now refused to eat anything at all so I can't get it into her. She had a tiny sip of the milk, won't have any tuna oil and pumpkin or even tuna oil on its own (which she normally loves). I am hoping that if I leave a ...

Re: Fluffy needs an operation!

Thanks Julie. I'll have another go with the pumpkin. I'll try disguising it better this time. Maybe in some tuna oil like you suggested. I have some lactofree milk so I might warm it a little for her too. I've just ordered some miralax which Mark recommended last time Fluffy had constipation. I knew...
