Re: Arthritis and Tramadol

Metacm hasn’t been ruled out, it is an option but not the best for kidneys. I’m just not sure if he really needs it at the moment.

Re: Arthritis and Tramadol

He’s been on a glucosamine supplement for years...cosequin until it was discontinued and now vet pro for joints and mobility. Sometimes it’s difficult to know what to do for the best.

Re: Arthritis and Tramadol

Thanks for your replies... Just spoke to my vet and she thinks gabapentin will have much the same effect on him as the tramadol as he is obviously sensitive to opioid based meds. He behaved in a similar way after anaesthetic last year. We are using a steroid cream on the area he’s pulling the fur ou...

Arthritis and Tramadol

Does anyone have any experience with tramadol? My 17 year old cat has been pulling his fur out and vet thinks it’s due to pain from arthritis. He was put on tramadol today and within half hour he was sick and has been ‘spaced out’ since. He won’t eat or sleep, is walking around unsettled and uneasy....

Re: ADVICE NEEDED FOR OUTSIDE CAT

I think if they are used to living in a home with you then maybe not ideal to move them to a shed. If they had never known life in a cosy house then maybe it would be ok ( not for me though). I would say to definitely consider rehoming. I really hope you find the one who’s missing, if he’s chipped t...

Re: cbd oil

My vet won’t give me any advice as it’s not liscensed for animals, I did ask but she couldn’t. Also the website I buy from ( simply cbd) cant give advice. There is a facebook forum you can talk to people who use it. I did my own research and found the reviews very positive so thought it was worth tr...

cbd oil

Hi, Was wondering if anyone has used cbd oil for their cats illnesses/issues? I recently started using it for my cats anxiety and it seems to be making a difference. I tried everything from vet but nothing helped, the last resort was Atopica but it’s an immunosuppressant and I didn’t want to use it ...

Re: Cat litter smells

Hi everyone, New to the forum so first post! I use Worlds best cat litter which is brilliant. It is a bit more expensive but worth every penny. It is dust free so perfect for my asthmatic cat. It is also a natural product ( whole kernel maize corn) which is a bonus. Only thing I would say if you are...
