Bella still upstairs.

Well she is quite happy up there still, I wish she would come down more but there you go, she prefers the upsatairs, she feels safe up there so she can stay there.........she has settled well now, eats well, loves Sheba pouches & Canagan dry food, she likes to be groomed, which is good as she is...

Re: Growing Whiskers?

Talking of snow............I was away at a Warner Hotel near Hereford over the weekend, (my sister in Law looked after Bella) we got snowed in on Sunday, 8 inches of snow, most of the staff couldn't get in, we had a wonderful time, made a snow man, walked in the heaviest snow storm, no staff to man ...

Re: Cat Litter.

Oh dear, looks like I have a lot to learn yet, such a long time since I had a cat.
I will get some more on Monday when we are back home, she still has 1 tray with the old litter in it, that one is downstairs.

Re: Cat Litter.

MarySkater......what sort of encouragement......I have cleaned out the litter tray, didn't give it a thought, I was just so pleased to get rid of the dusty stuff. So far Bella hates the wood pellets, waited all night for the bedroom door to be opened so she could go downstairs to use the other litte...

Thank you all for the replies, I took the remainder of the sack back to the place I bought it from, they recommended the wood pellets, so I had them, just hope Bella likes them.

Ok, thanks for the replies, I don't think I will bother with these, quite expensive & if the don't work for many, just a waste really.

Re: Feliway plug ins?

Hi Ruth, Bella does eat & toilet upstairs, she does come down when she is hungry both morning & night, the rest of the time she is upstairs. I did use the dog equivalent of Feliway, she was very nervous of loud noises & fireworks, it made no difference what so ever, I was told about thes...

This is the carrier I have for Bella, it is ok for her but it is quite small, Bella is small but for a normal or large size cats it would be too small.

Thanks for the replies & info also the advice.
So.....if not Burns, what would you all recommend?
I feed her a small amount of Burns, she has 1 sachet of wet food & enough to cover the bottom of a bowl about 3.5/4 inch dish a day.

Burns dry food.

I have been feeding Bella Burns dry food, chicken & brown rice since I got her along with sachets of wet food, I looked on the packet today & it seems to have a low chicken content, 37% also maize, I am not sure with cats but when I had my German Shepherd, I found out that dogs can't digest ...

I may of spoken to soon!!

I said how good Bella was for eating anything I put in front of her, well she has obviously settled in now & has decided she prefers Sheba sachets to the Felix AGAIL that I had just bought a box of 40 for £12, so she just will not eat these now, a couple of licks then walks away, I think it was ...

Re: What are your thought's on..........

Thanks for the advice, I will bin the collar, I don't want Bella to have a "parting" round her neck, I never thought of that happening & it would because she is long furred. She is doing really well after her op, I have only seen 1 tooth as I don't want to annoy or hurt her but it is a...

I took Bella back the RSPCA this afternoon for them to take her to the vet's early tomorrow for her dental work, I hated taking her, she must think I have abandoned her, we have to collect her again about 4pm tomorrow. Re: Fish or meat.....does it matter?

Thank you everyone for your help, I just thought you might think I was a bit daft asking, (what must seem to you all), simple questions, but to me, not knowing because of not owning a cat for so many years, might harm Bella. The shelves in the supermarket are like the chocolate isle to me, I want to...

Re: Fish or meat.....does it matter?

I haven't found Bella to be fussy as yet, I had a German Shepherd for just over 12 years & oh boy was she fussy, so Bella has a long way to go to catch her. I have only found the beef that Bella isn't keen on though she will eat it over time. Someone told me to feed dry food for long furred cats...
