Re: Infacol
Personally and not being a vet but over 30 years cat rescue experience I would suspect coronavirus and a partial but poor immune response in which case a vet will struggle to give any help however many tests you have I would certainly stop the ad food and go for fresh easily digested food, white fish...

Re: Rescued Kitten Feeding Advice
My very experienced advice is don't limit his feeding over all but limit his dry food to a daily snack dry food is not the best option for cats whatever the quality, add fresh food to his diet such as fish, chicken, mince etc,and don't worry about how much he eats while he is still young let him eat as...

Re: Litter tray issues
I think you need to add the two issues together here a 6 month old with these problems is not good on his diet he should not be constipated and it could be his constipation and its cause is leading to highly concentrated urine causing bladder problems I would be concerned about kidney function and P...

Re: Infected spay??
From the pic it doesn't look infected the real risk with infected spay is when it goes from inside to out your pic certainly doesn't look likre that many surface reactions/minor discharge to spay are self regulating remember there are layers of skin , muscle and fat stitched together below the outer...

Re: Nervous older kitty in noisy home, owner misunderstanding
Oh my god what horror stories you read your pet is your friend whether its a cat,dog or whatever why would you ever hit, kick, or punish a friend who loves you treat them with kindness and understanding remember they're animals who you chose to place in your environment if you can't or won't adapt t...

Re: Unfortunate situation
Resources can be very stretched for rescues maybe if you could offer assistance with the cost of care of the cats while they were in rescue payable from your uncles estate it may help be careful only to make such an offer to no kill genuine rescues such as cat protection though

Re: Adopted kittens had cat flu...
Why do you say your cats are cat flu carriers? As a viral illness the virus stays in the body of any cat who has cat flu but is kept at bay by the immune system so they are no more carriers than any cat who has ever had cat flu and catteries take cats from owners who for one reason or another have l...

Re: Stray with Kittens
It usually best to keep males overnight after neutering then feed and release if the vet will do overnight accommodation all the better if not beware of trying to transfer him between carriers and crates etc he will be very strong and untouchable and very stressed as for mom a feral cat can feed her...

Re: Rescuing cats from a hoarder
Just an after thought to my previous post try asking local vets for contacts of local rescues including local RSPCA and cotactimg them yourself explaining the situation you may have some luck that way

Re: Rescuing cats from a hoarder
The RSPCA have no right of entry and can not remove animals without the police and a vet who have to judge the animals to be at risk due to poor care and/or living conditions the best course of action is to befriend such people maybe take some cat food say your cats gone off it gain the persons trus...

Re: What do do with this naughty boy?
I would say just give them more time its a massive change for both of them what I would do though is give your newbie safe time where you separate the two for a few hours a day preferably when your home so she can bond with you and her new environment without harassment then hopefully gain more conf...

Re: I am so annoyed!!
Firstly I would say give the RSPCA a break as a rescuer of over 30 years no not RSPCA its very very hard the vet they use will probably check an animal over and give an opinion on essential medical treatment needed and ideal world treatment needed that opinion may differ to that of your own vet the ...
