Re: LACTULOSE FROM PHARMACIST - IS THIS SAFE FOR BARNEY PLEA

Sorry Julie, I've only just caught up on this. Poor Barney. I use Miralax for Fluffy when she needs a little help. The dosage I give is one eighth of a teaspoon. It can be increased to a quarter of a teaspoon if needed. It is tasteless and Barney shouldn't notice it. Have a look at this link. Scroll...

Re: Katalax - surely the biggest rip-off going?

I use Bezo Pet for Fluffy. I get it from Animed which seems to be the cheapest at around £11.99 for 70g tube. The vet tried to sell it me for £20!

What a lovely old boy!! He must feel so much better now that he's all cleaned up. He was probably so grateful for being helped. No wonder he purred when being dried. I look forward to hearing how he progresses.

Jess is lovely. She looks quite timid even on the photo. Poor little girl. You will work wonders with her. You will be able to transform her into an affectionate and confident girl. Looking forward to seeing a pic of Talouse. The number of girls is increasing! Wonder what the boys think of that!

Helen you definitely made the right decision about Baxter. The look on Basil's face proves it :D As others have said, your gang have to come first. When you think of what Basil has been through, he deserves to feel happy and confident in his own home. The constant stress could have brought on more c...

Re: Is anyone else's cat on BP tablets other than Amlopidine

Mark, I'm glad that Laz seems a bit more lively and with it. I remember a few years ago when I first joined CC, (after Fluffy's diagnosis of CKD), that you said it was more important to treat the cat, not the numbers. I think that Laz is demonstrating this to be very true. His behaviour is what you ...

Hi Mark. Just catching up with this. I'm relieved you got the dosage sorted out. Wonder where your vet got the info from.

Fluffy is about 3.6kg (possibly slightly more now) and my vet said to measure up to the 4kg mark. Hope you see some improvement in Laz.

Hi Mark I have also been thinking about Laz and wondering how he's doing. It's great news that he's had a good day today. Re: Does anyone have any experience with night blindness?

It's so good to hear that Laz has been a bit perkier this afternoon. Wanting to go out is a positive step forward after he's been out of sorts for so long. It can be unsettling when your vet is inconsistent and forgets having already given him a scan! It really is a juggling act when you have a cat ...

That's the understanding I had about the protein issue. I've found that website to be invaluable and I've learnt so much from it. It's a wealth of information. Don't know what I would have done without it. LK advised me to get my vet to check their ingredients etc. I took a tray in with me (he alrea...
